# Pros - Set in a peaceful neighborhood. - Tranquil garden and pool area. - Large accommodating, stylish lounge. - Spacious bedrooms. - Beach club with pool/bar close by but sitting around the villa would suit some as well. - 5 Mins from Holetown, high end luxury shopping mall and coffee shops. - Speightstown up the road # Cons - None apparent. # Recommended trips - Fish Pot restaurant. - Flower forest. - Caves at north of island. # Useful to know - If you hire a car, people tend to drive fairly considerately, but watch out for the odd pothole (if you live in the UK you know what I am talking about). - Supermarkets close by, Massy Stores (Sainsburys like), Clifton Market (Waitrose like) - Spectacular beach sunsets # Of note - Hats taxi services.

We have just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay, and I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. From the moment we walked in, it felt light, bright, spacious and beautifully designed. In fact, the very first thing I said to my husband and our family was, “This is so much nicer than I was expecting.” The villa is actually even more beautiful than the photographs suggest and has such a lovely, airy feel that the pictures simply don’t capture. Every room has air conditioning, which was much appreciated in the Barbados heat, and despite there being six adults staying, the villa never once felt crowded. There was always plenty of space for everyone to relax, whether together or separately. The villa is beautifully furnished throughout, and the kitchen was one of the best-equipped holiday kitchens I’ve ever used. As someone who loves to cook, I often find myself searching for utensils or wishing for better equipment, but there wasn’t a single thing missing. Everything had been thoughtfully provided, and all of the appliances were excellent quality. The four bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, with lovely mattresses that made such a difference. I have ongoing back problems, so a comfortable bed can genuinely make or break a holiday for me, and I slept brilliantly throughout our stay. Having three bathrooms for six adults was another huge bonus, making mornings and evenings completely stress-free. One feature that absolutely delighted me was the separate laundry room. It meant we could keep towels fresh throughout our stay and, even better, return home with virtually no washing waiting for us. It might seem like a small thing, but it made a huge difference to the overall holiday experience. The outdoor space is just as lovely as the inside, with a sheltered seating area, a bar, a beautiful little pool and plenty of sun loungers. It was the perfect place to relax together after a day exploring the island. The housekeeping deserves a special mention. The ladies who looked after the villa were simply wonderful—warm, friendly and genuinely lovely people. We spent ages chatting with them, and one of them made such an impression on us that we’ve stayed in touch since coming home. The standard of cleanliness was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Before the cleaners arrived, I had washed all of our dishes and put everything neatly back into the cupboards because I never like leaving a mess. Karen then proceeded to take everything back out and wash every single item again. She explained that every new guest should arrive knowing that absolutely everything has been freshly cleaned and is immaculate. That level of care, pride and attention to detail was extraordinary and perfectly summed up the standards throughout the entire villa. This is a villa that has been thoughtfully equipped, beautifully maintained and clearly cared for by people who take enormous pride in what they do. It provided everything we could possibly have needed for a wonderful family holiday. Thank you to John and Lucy for sharing such a beautiful home with us. It played a huge part in making our family holiday so special, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Barbados. We sincerely hope we’ll be back.

We’ve just finished the most wonderful week at Villa Sunnyside and can’t recommend it highly enough. Holetown was every bit as lovely as we hoped, and the villa itself was perfect – a real home from home. Spacious with so much room for the 5 of us, comfy beds, cosy sofas inside and out, pool, well-stocked kitchen, outside fridge and bar, bbq, thoughtful touches like anti-mosquito coils, candles, bluetooth speaker, plenty of storage in the bedrooms and kitchen, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer which all made things so easy! The location is perfect too. Just minutes from shops, restaurants and beaches. We loved relaxing at the villa as much as we enjoyed exploring. Great meals at Zaccios, Drift, Tides, Derriere, and cocktails at The Bearded Rose. We also made use of the barbecue with delicious steaks and tuna from Clifton Market. It’s been the perfect chilled-out family holiday and we’re already thinking about when we can come back. Lucy and John could not be more helpful either. Thank you Lucy and John – you've created a very special holiday home.

Great Villa in Hole Town, loved the private pool. Plenty of monkey’s visiting us each morning. Perfect location within a stones throw of the supermarket and Beach. Use of the beach house was included which was a great bonus.
