A local well-priced vegetable store and they sell free-range eggs and chickens here. Go buy seasonal and local veggies and fruits here. I went there several times during our trip, partially also due to the "food lady" upfront. Yummy local dishes for cheap. It will be probably the best, authentic, well-priced food versus the food on the West coast.

Amazing local stop for all things fruit and veg. I will be returning again to make purchases and the produce was fresh and the customer service is also good. Can't forget the unbeatable prices!

Less than five minutes drive from the major hub of Six Roads St. Philip, one will find VegCo on the right side of the road. I like it because it is away from the hustle and bustle and because the items sold, for the most part, are grown by the company. There is usually a variety of items, including ground provisions like cassava, pumpkins, sweet potato, and yams. One can also find surprises like zucchini. One can observe the chickens roaming free outside of their pens. Their eggs are sold on site. Depending on the time of the year, one can purchase items at very reasonable prices. Last week, for example I bought tomatoes at 50 cents a pound. They were not the biggest ,but they were still delicious for salads. Occasionally I find things a bit pricey. My one complaint is that once or twice I have observed the staff talking on the phone rather than paying apt attention to the task at hand.

Not a very big selection of seasonal local fruit or vegetables but some good staples like sweet potatoes, eggs, usually tomatoes, bananas, edoes, yam, melons, squash, sometimes oranges. Lovely sweet tamarind too, and coconut water.

Clean, bright surroundings. Produce well displayed. Easily accessible bathroom facilities is a plus. For those who are nature lovers, you can see the 100+ chickens outside roaming around. You can be assured that they are cage free.
