This was my first time dining at UVA Barbados, and it was such an excellent experience that I felt compelled to leave a review. The food was absolutely incredible — everything I ordered was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. I tried the char-grilled octopus, pumpkin fritters, oxtail, lamb loin, and the brownie for dessert, and every dish hit the mark. Truly impressive.
The service was also great. The host was excellent and welcoming, and our waiter was pleasant and attentive. The food came out quickly, and the overall flow of the evening felt smooth.
My only real complaint was the seating. We were placed right by the entrance, so there was a lot of traffic with people coming in and out. It definitely took away from the otherwise lovely atmosphere. The music was enjoyable and fit the vibe, but it was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation. I also found the drink size a little small for the price.
That said, the décor was beautiful — modern, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. Despite the minor drawbacks, the quality of the food alone makes this place worth returning to, and I will definitely be back.

We had such a great dinner at Uva! It’s not always easy to find good veggie and vegan options on the island, but this place really delivered — everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and we definitely stuffed our faces. The drinks were great too, perfectly paired with the meal.
The atmosphere was lovely — lively but not too loud, so you could still have a conversation comfortably inside. It’s a fairly small spot and very popular, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation to avoid missing out.
A special shoutout to Joseph, our waiter — he was the sweetest and went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. Service like that really makes a difference!
Prices are a little on the expensive side, but for the quality, flavors, and experience, it felt worth it. Would absolutely recommend Uva for anyone looking for a great dining experience with fantastic veggie and vegan options.

The drinks were Fabulous!! I loved every single one..the bartender Mr King got my personal preference and made magic! I only nibbled some truffle fries but they were yummy! A must for sure! Great place to hang with friends for cocktails!

I’m so impressed with UVA. From the friendly hostesses when you walk in, to the amazing servers and bartenders, the service was on point!
I ordered a lot of dishes to try. The highlights were the oxtail, flying fish, nuggets and caviar and octopus. I also tried the vegan shakshuka that was awesome with a tofu egg. The mixed drinks were delicious and they have a wide selection of wine too. The overall vibe made me feel like I was in a restaurant in the Mediterranean. I strongly recommend checking out this restaurant!

Smart new restaurant with great ideas and flavour but still early days and there was many stumbling blocks. Very comfortable but also noisy.
So tapas concept which I like but I found the restaurant seriously under staffed.
Food came out randomly and luke warm.
We even received 1 dish the crab risotto when we'd finished all our other mains and sides and still wasn't very hot. Which I must say was kindly removed from our bill.
Theres 2 vegetable dish but 1 was already sold out at 8pm so Limited to just carrots, which were a bit of a car crash as completely over the top with seasoning toppings.
I will say the chicken & caviar, the ox tail and steak plates was very good. I just think the kitchen needs a bit more time to master with the new menu.
Not the cheapest but good quality
