It was nice to get off and see some of the shops and the SIGN to get a picture. I would suggest what we did amd pay the 25 dollars and let the tour guides past the shops take you for a short tour. Not a island I need to come back too at all.

No matter the experience at the pier, the island is a must see because it has it's own personality. I don't recall there being anything unpleasant or negative. The shopping at the pier was very good, although St. Kitts get the prize for the best shipping experience of all the southern and eastern Caribbean islands we've frequented.

Easy to navigate and reasonably smooth. The walkway generally serves two ships at once and can be quite busy during embarking and disembarking.
The view from your ship, however, can be rather spectacular with fabulous turquoise waters and lush mountains.
Oddly enough, this peaceful scenery is contrasted to several shipwrecks dotting the shoreline and harbor, suggesting not all is well in this tropical paradise...

This was our first visit to Tortola and we are looking forward to going back in the future. We need to get back to see more of the island .

Being it was our first time in the British Virgin Islands, the Pier had a plethora of choices to get souvenirs and like other islands, you can explore the different options from local fare to some stores that I have seen through various other ports of call. The port was pretty chill and secure to get off the ship and returning back so I would definitely come back to Tortola.
