Well, I've finally met the most miserable natives on the island. I wouldn't say they are all miserable but certainly the ones you ask a question to are the most rude, unkind people I've encountered while being here. You would think tourist coming into the store would be welcomed. Instead, you're treated as if you are a pest/ bothersome. If I had to do more shopping, I'd rather taxi to another location and spend my money elsewhere. There's absolutely no reason to be so unkind. I'm sure the majority of their income is from tourist money. You're treated as if you're asking for free products. While the prices are far from free, I understand paying for convenience. What should be free is positive personalities, kind hearts and unprovoked harshly spoken words. No, I can't recommend this store to anyone.

I stayed in the Dover area over the Christmas holidays and visited the Dover Supermarket frequently. I found they had a wide variety of goods and cooked food in the back of the store. The employees were friendly to me and very helpful. Prices aren't cheap, but comparable to stores of this type in the heart of a tourist zone.

This store is a mini grocery with a wonderful variety. If you stay in St Lawrence Gap, there really isn’t any need to go elsewhere. You can get a hot breakfast daily from their deli, They do their own amazing freshly squeezed orange juice on site, This is a must have! They also make their own yummy rum punch which you would love whilst basking in the sun! There is also wine available, and most importantly the people are friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend here

Frightfully expensive, the price of food in Barbados is absolutely outrageous. I think that if something is not done about pricing this country will simply price itself out of the tourist market in the next few years.
