I reported an electricity issue yesterday at 6pm, and now it’s the next day and Barbados Light & Power still has not come to fix it. I have been without electricity for an entire day and counting. What makes this worse—and unacceptable—is that the light wires are now sparking, which is extremely dangerous. This is not just an inconvenience anymore, it’s a serious safety hazard. Despite reporting the issue and waiting patiently, there has been no response, no update, and no repair. This level of delay and lack of urgency is disappointing and unsafe. Electricity issues, especially ones involving sparking wires, should be treated as emergencies. I expect better service and faster action from a utility company responsible for public safety.

Frequent outages in my area for hours at a time. Have had multiple pieces of electrical equipment destroyed as a result of this. Do yourself a favour and invest in solar panels. The sun is 1,000,000 times more reliable than BL&P.

Outage of more than an hour. Trying to call to establish report/return of service. Over a minute on automated directory to get to relevant department to be 18th in a queue! Employ more agents and stop the outages. Getting too regular

On Thursday the 13 June 2024 The lights in my house started to dim and with sometimes flicker I did some checks and realized that when the fridge cuts in and out that was causing the lights to dim... I called an electrician and he did some checks..he told me that most likely the neutral is having a problem. And it could either be at the meter base ,on the pole or the wire that connects to the house.. I called light and power at 7:30 p.m. and reported it,.. I called them back at 11: 30 am Friday the 14th I was told that I did not give them a chance to get to me as yet but I told the guy that it was an emergency and he said that he will see what can be done. After smelling some burnt stuff in the house I decided to switch off all the breakers and I called back at 4:57 p.m. and reported this new information only to be told that they will see if they can get someone to respond to my problem.. I told him this is not good enough that this was an emergency. Light on power did not respond to me until Sunday morning at 11:30 am... It took light and power three days to respond to an electrical emergency which could have caused a fire. The transformers on the fridge and freezer have been burned out... I have now put them at the top of the list for the worst service provider on the island.. they are ahead of flow by miles
