Everything about this property has been perfect. The staff Shareka at the front desk was informative and Lana from housekeeping was superb. I would recommending staying here and if you do decide staying get the ocean view as it’s breath taking. The upkeep of the property was great, everyday the staff cleans which I loved to see. The location was great, especially if you are looking for dancing and food. Thank you team and if I had to visit I would definitely stay at the South Gap again.

We had a wonderful stay at the South Gap Hotel. The room was modern, spacious, with a fully stocked kitchenette (microwave and full fridge, no stove), a big comfortable bed, great bathroom, and powerful air conditioner. The views from our room were beautiful! If they can accommodate, ask for a ground floor room, it's a walkout to the pool patio and that was great. The best part of our stay was the staff. They truly made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. I have to thank Nicholas, one of the bartender/restaurant staff, for giving us exceptional customer service and going out of his way to make sure we were always confortable and fed! He even recommended excursions that really made our trip memorable. The front desk staff was also lovey. The only issue I experienced was that the hotel was noticeably understaffed. The housekeeping staff took quite a while to get to our room, with staff missing our room entirely one of the days we requested cleaning. We could see the 1-2 housekeeping staff were doing their best so this did not make or break our experience.

This was my first time visiting Barbados, and this hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Shakeeta and Sharieka were especially kind and patient they went above and beyond to help me book excursions and dinner reservations, which took a lot of the stress off and allowed me to truly enjoy my birthday. Exceptional staff like them are the reason people come back. Honestly, they deserve a raise! Jeremy (I believe that was his name) at the bar he had braids was also super friendly and added to the relaxed vibe. The pool area was the best part & gorgeous, with stunning views of the ocean. I also loved all the amenities in the room. Housekeeping did an amazing job. I'm very particular about cleanliness, and the room was spotless, smelled fresh, and the AC was perfectly cold. I gave 4 stars because the only downside was the cable channels and Wi-Fi, which were a bit spotty & cut completely out during my stay. But overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable, chic hotel experience in Barbados. I’ll definitely be back & tell my family and friends to stay here!

South Gap Hotel is a smaller property, but it is very well managed and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It sits right in the St Lawrence Gap, close to restaurants, bars, and the beach, yet it still manages to feel calm and relaxed once you are inside. The staff are attentive and professional without being overbearing, and you get the sense that they genuinely care about keeping guests comfortable. One of the highlights for me was the swimming pool area. The deck was fully renovated in October 2024, and it looks great with all new lounge chairs and modern outdoor furniture. The pool overlooks the ocean, and it is an amazing spot to unwind during the day or enjoy a drink in the evening. The secret to staying here is to book one of the rooms on the lower level that opens directly onto the pool deck. These rooms are convenient, and the sliding doors lead right out to the water. Because those doors are the only windows, the rooms stay nice and dark at night, which makes for a great sleep. You will hear some music from the hotel restaurant in the evening, but it usually finishes by around 11 pm. Overall, it is an excellent choice for comfort, location, and value.

Went here for a week and I couldn’t be more happy with this location. It’s got an absolutely stunning view of the ocean, the rooms are fantastic, and the staff are incredible & so friendly. The pool area is nice and relaxing, and even though the hotel was sold out when I was there, there was never a moment where I couldn’t find a spot by the pool. Attached to the hotel is the Tropical Mist restaurant which has tons of delicious food. And surrounding the hotel are tons of different spots to hit whether you’re looking to have a good meal or party. I will definitely be coming back!
