Saturday March 29th around 2:30, as I stood online awaiting my turn, a lady came in. The sales clerk stopped and started a conversation with her. From the conversation, it seemed to me that they were familiar, if not friends. I politely explained to her that there was a lady before me waiting for assistance, and then it was my turn, and then the woman who she was assisting. She stated that the woman was just asking questions. The woman ahead of me also had questions, and so did I. So for ten minutes, she assisted the woman who had walked in while we waited our turn. When she got to me I asked for Velcro. She brought out 2 of the fuzzy rolls and then had to go back and look for the sticky roll. At no point was I rude nor nasty to anyone in the store. We were actually making small talk and joking during the transaction, though I was annoyed. She started to roll back up the 2 rolls of the fuzzy Velcro. I asked her if she could just cut my piece and roll it back afterwards. She gave me some foolish reason as to why she had to roll up the Velcro before cutting the matching "sticky" piece, and then commenced massive and painfully slow undertaking of rolling up the velcros. Then when it was time to ring me up, she called on the cashier who immediately disappeared. She eventually reappeared from behind the door behind the counter. Now there was no customers in the store by this time, only me, so she didn't disappear to help anyone. After she rang me up I presented my cc to her. She repeated $40.00 cash about 3 times. Each time I looked at her with surprise. Finally I asked if she didn't take cc. She said to me, "I just wanted to see if you were sweet,." I told her that the sweetness was slowly erroding. Still, I was not nasty to anyone. Upon my departure, I told them to have a good day. They purposely moved at snail's pace all because I reminded one of the associates, that there was a line. It would have been one thing is she were talking down ribbons/trims or other things for us to look at, but we all waited our turn to be serviced, and we all wanted to see things behind the counter so it wasn't like we were getting fabric cut. They could have taken down the items and while we took a look and made our decisions, she could have talked to her "friend". They are usually fairly decent in there, but today the service was far, far below the level that reasonable. I gave them 1 star because I had been to a number of stores looking for fringe. Though the fringe was not ideal, at least they had fringe. If I had not invested so much time in the store, after the cashier rang me up and tried to get a ride out of me, I would have walked on our, but I don't see myself ever going back in there.

On waiting to enquire of an item, I was looked over by three other customers who came after me. The young lady was willing to assist after cashing some items, but the moment she came over to assist me, another female employee told her to go back to the cash register. The young lady explained she was assisting me and I saw there was no one waiting to make a purchase there. Yet she strictly told the lady to go back and even worse, left me standing there to serve yet another customer who came after me. The young lady was conflicted by her actions but did as she was told. But the lady's appalling actions pissed me off so much, I left the store and received better service at Abeds
