Here's the finished review: --- **Sandy Toes Rose Island Experience — 4/5** We had a great day overall and would recommend this excursion. The organization was impressive from the start — all the equipment was in good condition, and it was clear they take safety seriously. The boat ride out was a lot of fun, and the beach itself was gorgeous and so easy to swim in that we ended up spending almost the entire day in the water rather than in the shaded chairs (which we barely used). The pigs were a highlight — well cared for, well trained, and the feeding activity (apples on a stick in the water) was a fun, organized touch. Lunch was a pleasant surprise too: good quality food served in a lovely, well-maintained picnic area. We also loved the bar on the hill, sipping a drink in the breeze while looking out over the water — that will stick with us as one of the best memories of the trip. My main disappointment was the snorkeling. We were rushed off the boat, hustled into a line for gear, and then walked to the other side of the island — all before we'd even caught our breath. When our mask didn't fit and started leaking, we lost time trying to fix it and the group left without us. For a full-day excursion, offering only one snorkeling opportunity felt like a missed chance, especially since it could easily have been repeated. I'll also note that some of the advertised activities didn't materialize — there was no opportunity to swim with the manta rays as shown on their website, and most of the water toys (tubes, kayaks) were nowhere to be found; we only spotted a single lilypad anchored in the water. Despite those shortcomings, I'd still call this a good value overall, even if the website oversells some of the activities. The scenery, the pigs, the food, and the overall vibe made for a memorable day.

Our trip to Sandy Toes was honestly one of the most magical excursions we’ve ever experienced. From the moment you step onto the boat, the adventure already feels special. The crew keeps the ride entertaining and engaging, pointing out celebrity mansions, private islands, and sharing fun stories along the way, which makes the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. But nothing prepares you for the moment you arrive. As you walk up the stairs and begin making your way down toward the beach, the view opens up into one of those picture-perfect scenes that almost doesn’t look real crystal-clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and that peaceful island feeling that instantly makes you forget the world exists. The drinks were fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and then came the part that made the experience unforgettable the animals. While you’re lounging on the beach, goats casually wander by like they own the island, and then suddenly the famous pigs come swimming right out into the water with you. It sounds surreal until you experience it yourself. There was something almost childlike and magical about the whole day beautiful scenery, warm water, friendly people, animals roaming freely, and just pure joy everywhere you looked. I would recommend this excursion 1,000 times over. If you’re visiting the Bahamas, this is one of those experiences you absolutely should not miss.

We had a very nice trip to the Rose island. Friendly staff, beautiful beach, plenty of hammocks to relax, good lunch and the pigs looked healthy and well looked after. I would definitely do this trip again.

We had a blast here! The pigs were well trained and the staff were very friendly. The beach bar had good vibes and a great selection of drinks. The lunch was tasty. I would love to come back one day. The island itself is beautiful, they don’t overbook too many people to come at once so the beach feels secluded still. I can’t believe how many amazing photos I got. It was the cherry on top of the cake for me.

We went on the Sandy Toes excursion from Nassau. The boat was a bit cramped, but it was only a 20min boat ride. The snorkeling excursion was interesting but there were a lot of people. I did feel safe at all time as there were multiple staff in the water and several staff on lookout up on the island. If you go on the excursion most of the cocktails and drinks are included, they aren't super strong, but you can have as many as you want. The swimming pigs are just that, they are well trained and seemed to very much to enjoy swimming. We also learnt that the light skinned pigs need sunscreen. The beach is beautiful and the water is clear and great to swim in, just watch our for the rocks.
