Saint Lucia Shuttle

We stayed at a resort which is difficult to access. This is well known. St.Lucia Shuttle does not appear to have vehicles that can manage the road in and out from where we stayed. We had to switch from a nice clean mini bus to smaller, privately owned vehicles. No prior mention was made of this either coming from or going to the airport. When we left St. Lucia the private vehicle was a third party, who expected us to pay even though we had payed in full prior to our trip. The company told this driver that he could get what payment was promised to him "later", or accept 30% less than that when we were switched to the minibus. The driver was nice enough to take us to the switch point. I paid him out of pocket to make up the difference in what he was promised. Don't use these guys if you are staying at the Green Fig in Soufriere.

It was a very pleasant experience from the moment our driver Mark picked us up. He made us feel very comfortable. We had a nice and clean private car! It was my first time to St. Lucia and I would recommend this transportation service. My inquiries were answered and handled in a timely matter each time. My original tour company canceled the night before this tour and Saint Lucia Shuttle service was apple to provide us with the same tour and with our same driver from the airport. Will use company again for future trips to the island.

We traveled to St Lucia June 3-10, 2023. We highly recommend this private shuttle service. Along with setting up the shuttle, we used the fast track service when arriving in St Lucia, a must if you want to be guided through the process once you get off the plane. We also used the VIP lounge at the airport on the way home while we waited for our flight to take off. We had 2 little kiddos with us (8 month and an 3 year old) and this made the whole process seamless. They provided the car seats so we didn’t have to worry about taking car seats with us. We had drinks, beer and water, for the ride to the hotel and then water for our ride back to the airport. If you want first class service that take away any worries, this is your private transportation service. If and when we come back to St Lucia, we will definitely be using them! On another note, they have a chat option as well as you can call them with any questions. Since this was our first trip to St. Lucia, we had a lot of questions and they were very responsive and very helpful.

Our first shuttle driver, Dwina (sp?) was great and stopped at a viewpoint, figuring we would like to do a quick stop even though we didn't ask. The shuttle drive home was terrible - try to request NOT to get the Tesla driver. His priority is his car, which begs the question why he would opt to be a driver. St. Lucia's winding roads are bad enough; to have a driver who's constantly switching between 10km/h over potholes and then zooming to 60km/h around hairpin turns under 3 seconds to make up for time he lost over potholes had me taking my anti-motion sickness meds. Not only that, but he was a HALF HOUR LATE, wouldn't go up the driveway of our apartment that sat on a hilltop, had us brush off the bottoms of our shoes twice because he didn't like the way I did it the first time, and dictated where I should sit? Strange, obnoxious, and nauseating.

I had booked online prior to my arrival and had a terrible time finding the driver. There was no prior instructions to follow (even though they said they sent them to me) There was no one holding a sign with my name. There was no one wearing a St. Lucia Shuttle shirt. I kept walking around searching for them. Finally I was directed to a guy who had a scribbled piece of paper and said he was my contact. Finally! He said he would get the driver and asked if I needed to use the washroom. I said I did and he told me to come back once done. I did as he said and returned, not to find him but a man telling me that he was the shuttle driver. I thought, finally and headed with him towards his vehicle. Upon arrival in Marigot Bay I got a shock when he said I owed him $90 US for the trip. I told him I already paid and he now told me that he was a taxi driver. I turned quickly from frustrated to downright irate. He was not with St. Lucia Shuttle. He was a total stranger. Yet how did he know to sell himself as my shuttle driver? I guess only he and St. Lucia Shuttle can answer that question. Anyway, once all was said and done, I never got a ride with St Lucia Shuttle. They did however keep my money. Very very unprofessional.
