Great views well maintained. Only drawback is very steep hills to walk to bay. This is not a restaurant.

We went to the Roots Beach Bar expecting something like we see in the pictures. We were very disappointed by the setting and the service. The beach bar has no seating, so you have to rent loungers to be able to sit somewhere, even if you buy all food and drinks from them. We asked for their menu and they gave us two choices orally, saying that the chicken was 20 USD and the fish 25 USD. We also agreed on a price for the loungers. When we were half way through with our meal the guy came back to us saying that the fish was now 30 USD. The same happened with the loungers, they just increased the price and said that they can't remember our conversation. We were almost their only customers. All in all it was very weird, there were 5 people hanging around at the bar, they all seemed to be involved there but for their own account. I guess they buy the food and drinks from them and resell it to us for a higher price. We paid 5 USD per beer, which is the highest price we have paid in 2 months travelling around the Caribbean. It's a rip off and they don't even try to hide it. One guy told us bluntly that his friend ripped us off. Meals got served in cardboard boxes, quality of the food was okay, nothing special. We understood that there is another Roots location in the village, which seems to be the one corresponding to the pictures. Avoid the beach bar.

After 15 minutes waiter kicked us from the table, because bigger group had come, then I had to wait over an hour for food, which was avarage. Chicken was reheated. Waiter all the time lied that food is comming in a minute. For 3 meals and drinks I have paid over 100 US. I don’t recommend it.

Saw you guys on Netflix's show Restaurants on the Edge and just loved episode on your place! Fluffy your story on your mom really touched my heart and I just wanted to wish you guys the very best! I'm hoping on visiting in couple years and will absolutely try your beautiful looking dishes especially the Lion fish! Best of luck! Cheers!

Just watched "Restaurants on the Edge" featuring this restaurant. Looks amazing with the beautiful makeover! I hope one day I can visit St.Lucia and come try this place. Fluffy (the owner) seems like such a humble and nice guy, I wish him and Sue the best of luck!! If you're ever nearby, please stop by and check out the restaurant! They really seem like hardworking people who put a lot of love into their food :)
