Lovely park in the city where you can sit and relax by the water fountain, watch a game of cricket, see and exhibition, play or cultural presentation in the Gallery and now at Christmas view the many Christmas trees that have been decorated by schools across the island using recycled materials as part of the Commonwealth wonderland.

I've been coming to Queen's Park for decades, it's a park where lots of cultural outdoor activities and national events takes place annually along with an art gallery and museum inside. The Park has well spread out grounds with room for tents, an entertainment stage and an on-site pavilion along with a cricket playing field and kids play area. Having a North and South gate...the park acts as a short cut for pedestrians to get from one side to the other without having to use the busy street outside which has no sidewalks. The park is well maintained with good upkeep of grounds with a nice fountain display into the shape of Barbados and it's parish pedestals signage, just as you would see it on a map. Barbados's oldest tree can be found here with another less aged one in Warrens which I reviewed previously. I recently attended a Father's day event which was quite nice and fun filled for the whole family with games and activities centered around honouring Fathers...a good visit when traversing through the city with nice benches to relax.

Loved Queens park especially since it was Christmas morning and folks came out to display their outfits, which showed vibrant colors and styles that captivated the eye. The park was well maintained. I especially appreciated the informational columns that displayed facts on each Parish. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Beautiful park with spots of history, beautiful landscapes, and culture. Nice to stroll through during the day. Some parts are still being done up though.

It was mostly nice to visit, but the park area attracts older people who lime in groups of 3 or 4, and teenagers who dump their garage in the park. The fence in the 2nd park area was broken down and their wasn't much park to truly enjoy with a toddler. Despite the park being beautifully landscaped, Play park area for kids looked abandoned and looked completely neglected in comparison to the other areas of the park.
