Come here to watch the sheer power of the ocean slamming into the island. To get to the edge , there is no path, just find your way between the grass into this powerful place.

As stated by the previous reviewers, this coastline is full of coral limestone cliffs, tunnels, blowholes and hidden beaches, some accessible via rather tenuous cliffside paths. The waves from the Atlantic can spray water well over the cliffs, and the views are different with every tide. Walked here several times and never got tired of it. The abandoned surf resort is well worth the walk, about a kilometer from Flower Cave.

Although Barbados has a high population density, it’s still possible to find quiet areas. Try parking or getting dropped off at the Flower Cave car park, and then walking south east along the dramatic coast. The limestone cliffs have been undercut by the sea to form caves, some of which have openings or blow holes to the surface. Fossil coral can also be found here.
Of course, the very presence of blow holes suggests that there’s little solid ground below, so be aware.
After about 1 ½ kilometres explore the abandoned North Point Resort with its Olympic size swimming pool and diving area. In its day it was promoted as a surfing venue. However, looking at the beach, which can still be accessed by a set of concrete steps (Jan 2019) surfing would have been quite dangerous.
Continue along the coast for another kilometre ‘till River Bay Cliff and inlet forms a natural barrier. Turn round here for the walk back, or there is a car park should you wish to arrange a pickup. A pleasant walk around 5 kilometres in all.

Wonderful walk. Park up at animal flower cave parking lot and head down the coast for some absolutely beautiful views.
