A beautiful moment at National Heroes Square: a place that reflects Barbados’ rich history and the spirit of its remarkable people, including cultural icons like Rihanna. I love her! :)

Really nice area. Came at night the day after Christmas and the trees and decorations were so warm and nice. Place where they tell the history of slave rebellion heroes and other important people that shaped Barbados.

stopped by here on a food tour of downtown.
-This monument is made for the 11 different "heros" of the country. From a former slave fighting for freedom, to the fathers of independence of barbados, and even Rihanna the singer who is from barbados.
-Its right in front of the parliament buildings, and across from the draw bridge and independence square and arch.
-Its a interesting monument, and i think well designed.

Located in historical Bridgetown, the square is where the monument of the national heroes of past and present are located, was called Trafalgar Square in the past because of the British colonial heritage, the name change is more relevant today as the country has since moved to a Republic
