The delightful ladies at My salon did a splendid job washing my hair. The lady who blow dried my hair was very professional and took great care with the blow dry .

Just come out of this fabulous salon I have beautiful nails again. Really modern, clean bright and cheery premises and lovely staff. So happy with the service and the standard. Will definitely be back next time I’m on holiday. Really recommend choosing My Salon. There’s loads of other treatments available also (I got eyelash infills as well) 🤩

I’ve been going to My Salon by Cherry around 7-8 years!! Wow! I only studied the time frame while writing this review... Cherry is very skilled in what she does! I had relaxed her when I started going to Cherry and I particularly loved her relaxers, weaves and pixie cuts! Get a weave done by Cherry and move like it’s your real hair! Sleep, wake, shake and go! I am natural now and and I visited Cherry on Saturday after about a year or two hiatus, the reception and styling was on par!

As local investors and mystery shoppers/independent reviewers, we are constantly exploring and experiencing local Barbados business and services. My Salon by Cherry boasts a prime location salon in Sunset Crest, for both locals and visitors alike. The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. The decor is tasteful and up to date, and so is the equipment. The level of general cleanliness and sanitation is acceptable. The staff is accommodating, offering tea, coffee and treats to customers. Not all customers were wearing masks. They offer nail services and beauty services, with hair services being the staple offering- as the owner, Cherry, is a renowned local hair stylist. I visited the salon to experience and review their nail services, and received an acrylic fill-in and a gel pedicure. The experience has been one of the most painful and uncomfortable experiences I have had in a nail bar. The nail tech has hard-drilled into my natural nails with a mechanical drill very deeply, causing pain and burns with every nail as part of the nail-prepping stage. Next, in the shaping stage, she filed my skin on my ring finger to bleeding point. Even after she noticed she filed through the skin, she has sprayed disinfectant on the open wound causing burning sensations twice. Next, she filed through my cuticles on my toes, again, to bleeding point. Next, she did not use a base coat for the gel colour, causing the gel polish to chip and fall after a few hours from treatment. All in all, the treatments lasted over 2 hours- the longest ever sitting nail appointment I have had for a sub-average result and a painful experience. The open skin wounds on my hand and feet are causing me huge discomfort when in contact with water and hand sanitiser. I have received an apology, but I was still charged full price. Overall, this is a hair salon. Cherry is a talented hair stylist- but this is NOT a nail salon. DO NOT use this salon for any nail services, avoid at all cost. And for the owners- I believe you should capitalise on your strengths and review the performance, results and practices of your nail technicians if you intend to continue to supply nail services.
