Do not get a cappuccino: they do not know how to make one. Mine was basically coffee with milk. Breakfast: ham & cheese omelet was great but a little too much oil or butter was used, but loved how much ham was used! Great! The bread was delicious & fresh. The guava juice was super!

Great food, normal island-pace service. Dont be in a hurry. Restaurant is on the second story overlooking the shoreline and walk. We had breakfast and everything was good.
I had the standard American breakfast with bacon. Their bacon was several small (2" max) pieces. Eggs and toast were great.
My wife had the veggie omelet and loved it. Kids got the French toast and were very happy.
Fresh juices were also delicious.

Complete rip off. I hardly leave negative reviews being a former server - but wanted to make sure I warned others about this place. I got charged 88EC for one mango "juice" and a water downed cocktail (10% service charge included).
My daughters mango juice was average at best - not sweet or mango forward and although blended with ice felt like it was an old melted smoothie reblended with more ice.
My cocktail was like water downed coke and rum and it was difficult to swallow.
I was pretty surprised by the bill but didn't question it since I'm not as used to translating the EC currency to US $.
Service here was okay - somewhat friendly but nothing special. Didn't eat the food but it saw others eating and it looked like standard pre-frozen packaged fried bar food. Ambience is upstairs with a subpar ocean view -- meh all around.
My daughter and I walked further down and went to Frangipani where we ordered another cocktail and virgin passion fruit daiquiri and only got charged 33 EC (no service charge was included).
The bougie plantation hotel charged us $11 USD for a glass of nice quality red wine and a milk shake (10% service included)
My take is that Maria's cafe is a major rip off and that there are plenty of other much nicer ocean front places for both cocktails and food.
Ye be warned.

We had an incredible breakfast experience at this restaurant! From start to finish, everything was simply amazing. The drinks were all delicious and refreshing, and the coffee was just right—smooth and flavorful.
The food was top-tier. The server even asked if we preferred our eggs hard or soft, which was a thoughtful touch. The pancakes were hands-down my favorite—light, fluffy, and full of flavor. The French toast was perfectly made, and the toast with jam? Absolutely soooo sooo good!
What really made our visit extra special was Maria. She was warm, welcoming, and had such a great personality. Her customer service was beyond excellent. She took care of our large family group of 15 people with ease, and not a single order was messed up. That’s impressive!
We will definitely be coming back for breakfast here again. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend!

I stopped by Maria’s Café in Bequia for lunch and ordered the fish burger — one of their local takes on fresh seafood. The fish was fresh and nicely cooked, and the flavor was enjoyable, especially paired with the relaxed waterfront setting overlooking the bay. Guests often highlight the scenic terrace and breezy atmosphere, which makes this a pleasant spot for a casual meal.
