My grandmother has been paying $2,484.00 BBD annually for her insurance, trusting it would cover her healthcare needs. When she called the company in July to confirm if hearing aids were covered, the representative said it was covered. Based on this assurance, my grandmother purchased a hearing aid for $3,000 BBD. I called the company on September 15th because my grandmother, after sending in her claim was told that the hearing aid was not covered. I spoke with a insurance agent who said that the hearing aid was covered, however after the confusion as to why the claim was denied she pulled up the policy only to realize it was not covered. Proving that she was initially given misinformation. The policy is available online; however, most policyholders, including my grandmother, are not computer-savvy and rely on calling the company for full verification. When I asked for the representative’s name for reference, I was greeted with the phone being put down in my ear. This feels like predatory behavior against seniors who rely on accurate advice to make costly healthcare decisions. My grandmother continues to pay $2,484.00 BBD annually for a policy that does not deliver as promised. No company who is profiting from retirees should treat its customers this way. I urge others to always get confirmations in writing before trusting verbal assurances from this insurer.

Poor customer service and antiqued systems. It’s 2025 and you can’t make online payments (and I’m not referring to the ridiculous and cumbersome bank transfer process)
