We had lots of time after check in at the airport we walked here. Beautiful spot with an ocean breeze and view. The owner made us fish with salad and fries. Like everywhere in Dominica it takes time to receive the food but you know it’s fresh, maybe 30/40min. Definitely recommend the short walk here from the airport, or if you are passing by. Thank you!

Walked to / stopped here after landing. Place was empty of customers in mid afternoon. Chicky, the owner, was pleasant. We asked whether he could make us a whole grilled fish and fries, he was nicely clear that he could do it but it would take some time, and we asked how much it would cost, what kind of fish… and he was very clear about price, size of fish etc. We took his time estimate and figured it would take maybe twice that time, allowing for unanticipated delays (it never ceases to amaze me that reviewers in Maps think that time estimates will be exact, life ain’t that way I guess). Point is, Chicky was straight up with us and we enjoyed our time with him. The grilled parrot fish was super good with some nice simple seasoning, we picked that sucker to the bones. Yummy! Beer was cold. Our visit here was just over one hour. Price okay. Bar structure interesting. If you are on a tight schedule, maybe don’t stop here to eat (actually, skip the Caribbean if you are on a tight schedule). It took us about 15 minutes to walk here from the airport with our bags. Note: afterwards we waited nearby with others for a public bus to Roseau, but gave up after an hour or so of waiting. Apparently public buses are infrequent out here, and even less frequent after 2:00 PM. Thus, we paid the typical $80 US foreigner price to go to Roseau, oh well. Dominica a little quieter than other islands and even more so on the east coast.

We stopped for a meal before our flight. It appeared to be just a bar. Owner was there doing maintenance when we asked about food. He offered chicken and fries only. No menus We were hungry, so we ordered chicken and was told 15 minutes. Nearly an hour later he brought food. He charged us $70 EC for two small portions of chicken, fries and salad which seemed like a lot I would avoid this place. We ate upon arrived just down the road. It was much better.

Good spot if you have a long layover at the airport and are looking for somewhere to kill some time/ chill for a few hours. It's a 10 minute walk from the airport and the food is good. The owner is very friendly.

Had Lunch! The fried chicken was excellent!
