The hike was steep but short. 30-40 min to go up depends if you stop. On the way you can have beautiful views on the island.
1 bottle of water recommended per person.

From the barriers prohibiting access to motorized vehicles, allow 40 minutes for the walk along the old road.
At the summit, a small tower offers an exceptional view of Terre-de-Haut, with Dominica and Martinique just beyond. Best done at sunrise or sunset.

A small path alongside a road that we climbed on foot. The path itself isn't very pleasant, but it offers several viewpoints overlooking the archipelago, as well as a very beautiful viewpoint once you reach the tower.

A concrete road leads all the way to the top. It's a steep climb, but thanks to the goats by the side of the path, which we photographed, it gave us an excuse to stop for a bit. Don't forget your water bottles. But once you reach the top, you'll forget all about the climb; the view of Les Saintes is magnificent. There's a small dirt path opposite the road leading to the top, about thirty meters long, with a very pretty viewpoint.

The footpath is mostly well-shaded and offers magnificent views of the various bays as you climb. Upon arrival, you'll see the fort, but the most beautiful scenery lies below.
