is known for its understated atmosphere, great shopping, many restaurants and white sandy beach, which is perfect for swimming and water sport activities.

Very cute shopping village. Some of the stores are friendly and wonderful. Others are rude and you’ll want to avoid. It’s worth stopping by each, but be ready for very different experiences.
One of the rude stores is the gourmet market. But they have a fabulous selection of wines and the price point it amazing. It’s worth the rudeness for the wine.

It’s super cute. A number of little shops to check out but it is very very busy and finding parking takes a while.

This is well maintained set of shops that represent the traditional Barbadian home.
You can find lots of great specialty stores here and places to eat or have dessert.
Some of my favorites include the thrift shop, cigar spot (you can also find local cigars here) a great breakfast shop among other selections.

Very pretty little shopping area of maybe 7 or 8 brightly painted chattel houses accessed via a winding footpath. We parked in the supermarket car park next door which had easy access to the chattel village. I couldn’t find any info on which shops were there in advance of my visit.
So fyi, there is a ‘Best of Barbados’ gift shop ( friendly service and pretty selection of gifts), ‘Life is sweet’ (delicious freak shakes, waffles , crepes etc and excellent service), a designer boutique selling extremely pretty but extremely expensive dresses, bags , accessories and beachwear, ‘Silver beach’ boutique ( very friendly assistant) selling a few items of clothing, accessories and pretty jewellery, ‘Ganzee’ souvenir shop (really nothing special here), Havana cigar store, an artisan food store and what looked like another boutique which was closed.
All in all we spent about an hour here.
