This has been my default church of choice whenever I’ve been in the island, thanks to my parents of blessed memory introducing me to it (my Dad grew up Methodist but abandoned it years later). I can’t put my finger on it but it’s the only church I’ve been to where I feel totally at home, bearing in mind I used to go to a Pentecostal church before. Every sermon gives me pause for thought, and there’s a genuineness to all the people you meet there. My only “grudge” is that it was a nightmare trying to figure out when the services are. I tried to take a photo of the schedule at the front of the church but the plastic cover and tree shade made it difficult to read (gold lettering on a light blue background). There is a 6:30am and a 9am service, depending on whether there’s a shared service with St James, there’s a 5pm/5:30pm service but check beforehand. If I can get the schedule I will post it. If you’re a visitor looking for a church to visit when you’re in the island, you can’t go wrong with Hawthorne Methodist. If you want the scriptural passion and solid teaching without the “noise”, you’ll get that there.

It was such an refreshing experience! The Pastor, Staff, and church members are so friendly and welcoming. ****

I attended a service there on July the 28th who had a visiting minister the service was beautiful.
