H&R is a family owned one stop local shop located on Maloney Drive in Christ Church. Items that you can find here include:
- fresh locally grown produce (most of it is grown by the family!!)
- fresh eggs
- drinks (juices, waters, sweet drinks (soft drinks/soda/pop), beers & alcohol
- local seasonings (wet and dry seasonings)
- pepper sauces
- canned meats
- local ice creams
- snacks (chips, crackers)
- non perishable items (beans, canned meats, canned fish, rice, ramen, pasta)
— hygienic items such as:
body soaps, feminine pads & tampons
— household cleaning items such as dishwashing soap, Ajax, oven cleaner, etc.
There is also a small puja section located in the store. Coming to Barbados on vacation & you forgot to pack your allergy medicine or toothbrush? Had a few too many drinks and you need a panadol or Tylenol for your headache? You can find those here too. You can also refill your phone plan (FLOW & Digicel) here!

It was nice to find a quiet, small family owned grocery store that had many things, but it soon became disappointing. I opened the bag of flour I bought and it had moth eggs and bugs in it. I had to throw it out. An unopened bag of rice I bought also had bugs INSIDE! Also had to be thrown out. The packs of pasta noodles I also got were months past the expiation date. This was extremely disappointing. Please regularly check your inventory for expired/expiring items and clean regularly to avoid bug infestation. Unfortunately, I did not realize any of this until I got home.

A very nice store with a good selection of fresh veggies, plus an array of convenience products. The family who owns and runs the store are wonderful people too

Always have a good expert when I go. They have the vegs I want, fresh and very reasonable.
Would recommend persons to go there.
