Located at Andromeda Botanic Gardens, this establishment, to my discerning palate, surpasses all others in Barbados. While the daily catch, and the cassava fries, seasoned with an intriguing blend of spices, are certainly not to be overlooked, it is the local octopus that demands one's immediate attention. Indeed, to ignore this culinary marvel would be a most unfortunate oversight.

We stopped by for lunch after seeing all the rave reviews, hoping for a water view, but honestly, we couldn't resist what we were sure would be an amazing meal. And let me tell you, it was 100% worth it! After spending 7 days on the island, this was hands down our favorite meal. Every dish was homemade with top-notch ingredients, passion, and love. This place is special—don't let the lack of ocean view stop you from checking it out! The chef and staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. With so many menu options to choose from, we were in food heaven. The mojitos? Out of this world. The watermelon juice? Pure refreshment. While we waited for our food, we had a little wildlife entertainment, with birds visiting us on the handrail—so fun! The catch of the day with pesto linguine was easily the best pesto we’ve ever had—definitely a must-try! We also devoured a spread of black bean and chicken flatbreads, which kept our whole crew satisfied. The breadfruit was a delicious first for us, and we pretty much licked our plates clean! For dessert, we indulged in vegan chocolate/banana/date ice cream, golden apple ice cream, and mango cheesecake. And that cheesecake? We all agreed it was the best we've ever had. Long story short: don’t miss out on this gem—get to this spot and enjoy an unforgettable meal!

OMG! Eastside Kitchen is more than just a restaurant; it’s an immersive experience that showcases the rich culinary heritage of Barbados. Located in the charming area of Foster Hall, its dedication to using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that reflect the vibrant culture of the island. We were welcomed into a warm and inviting atmosphere where they can enjoy a menu brimming with traditional Bajen dishes. From succulent fish cakes to hearty cou-cou and flying fish, each dish tells a story of local traditions and flavors. This is a lovely little restaurant adjacent to Andromeda gardens. You can visit this restaurant without having to go into the gardens although I strongly recommend you do! The andromeda garden has lots of beautiful flowers, tropical fruit trees and with exotic plants and trees, it feels like you are in a rain forest. I went for a little walk there. It was an amazing experience. The food is fresh, so be prepared to wait a little bit longer. It will be worth it. Everything we ordered was excellent(very flavorful), I had the Catch of the day- Grilled Barracuda fish with coconut risotto this was my first time trying Barracuda It really was the best grilled fish ever had. My friends ordered Grilled local octopus with fries and salad they loved it. They have great cocktails too. The service was excellent too they gave us some great recommendations, I will definitely go back when I am in Barbados and highly recommend you to go and have an amazing garden experience with great food and drinks! Plenty of parking spaces and clean bathroom on the premises.

The food was excellent (very flavorful). The service was excellent too. Dwayne gave us great recommendations. I had the barracuda with stir fried vegetables. It really was the best. I'm planning to go back before leaving Barbados. Oh... and the restaurant is situated in the most beautiful garden with exotic plants and trees. Updated Only other thing I would add is that the portion sizes are small. Especially, the protein. I didn't get to go back as planned.

Dwayne, who is the creative force at Eastside, serves up some amazing food. We ate here twice in a week because it was so good. Dwayne sources locally and learned his craft from his grandmother. Cocktails were all excellent and we especially loved his mint-basil mojito. Try the breadfruit chips. Had Flying fish, fish cakes, lobster linguini, grilled octopus, & parrot fish. Delicious. We had the banana cake with passion fruit sauce twice. We ate and then strolled the gardens. Eastside was a highlight of our Barbados trip. We are definitely returning!!!
