A hidden gem in Anguilla – Felt just like family
We chose this restaurant to celebrate my 65th birthday as a couple, and what a wonderful discovery! The restaurant is located in a beautiful building with a breathtaking view of St. Martin, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a stunning sunset from the terrace.
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was so warm and charming that we immediately felt like family. Although we were a bit concerned at first to be the only guests on a Saturday night, those worries vanished as soon as the food arrived.
The grilled salmon and mahi-mahi were simply excellent. The cuisine is flavorful and the atmosphere is simple and friendly, perfectly reflecting the spirit of Anguilla.
Practical Tips:
• Getting there: The road for the last kilometer is quite bumpy, but don't worry—it’s easily manageable even with a small vehicle.
• Hours: Please note the restaurant is open from Wednesday to Saturday.
A must-visit spot for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable evening!

Incredible place, view and staff are wonderful. Andy is a great host and can sing also. Jessica is the best. We'll be back.

Not your typical 5 star fancy place, but an island treasure! Set in a historic villa with an incredible view of St Martin. Dame’s had the most delicious Maji maji I have had on island. Their rice and peas had delicious spicing. Service was lovely and if you catch the night Andy sings will be stunned by his vocals. Great unique experience. Perfect for an incredible sunset, but ask about music and go on music night for the best!

Second time I have been there for Dinner. Good food and Atmosphere but need to sort the service out. We were a group of 14 with no one else in the place, but orders took an age and some were wrong when delivered. One person in our group had finished their meal, while others were still waiting for theirs. Not sure what they would have done if other customers were also there. As I say good food (when it comes) and great atmosphere but need to improve their service.

Dames is a magical place that you must witness in person. The vibes here are real! The views are spectacular day and night.
The story of Dames, named after Anguilla’s “First Dame”, Dame Bernice Lake, is historical, and her home, her memoirs, are felt throughout. Come see for yourself.
Disclosure: I am the owner of AXALove.ai, and we’re passionate about showcasing Anguilla and its businesses.
