Shocking queues. I sat for over 4 hours with my children standing waiting. All the staff are taking their sweet time with them having conversations between each interaction. So many staff members just standing around with only 1/2 tellers open at a time. Wasted a whole day. I don’t know why they don’t call in someone from abroad to shape up the poor customer service in the banks. As a tourist I change as little as possible and use my debit card more to avoid having to sit in this joke of a business

Had to go in just after Christmas to do something that could NOT be done online. Spent nearly three hours in the bank because only 1 teller was working. Yet there were three security guards on duty. This tells me so much about how the bank values its customers. The teller was polite and helpful but, by her one, could only do so much at a time and it was as if no one else working in the bank seemed to care. CIBC management needs to do better! They make you feel like you are begging them for a service you are paying for. A bank like this, showing such disregard to its customers, would soon go out of business in a 1st world country. Boycott if you can. I'm currently looking for another bank to switch to.

Not sure that this will help change things. I am 100% Bajan and understand it is a developing country, but there is no excuse for this. The operations at that bank are below all standards. A single queue for all requests is just plain dumb. Who is in charge? They are paid well for managing this service. Poor customer service - in person or on the phone. Plan to spend the day. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS!

I am afraid I have to echo the sentiments of other reviews. I have been waiting in line for about 1.30 hrs bc only two tellers working. It is Friday before Xmas and it is obvious that the bank would be busy than usual. However, it seems that CIBC does not value its customers and prepared to let them wait in very long queues. More staff on the front desk and less walking around and chatting at the back. I don't think this level of service would be tolerated outside Barbados. Please consider upgrading your customer care service and general efficiency.

ZERO STARS. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE!! Since I came back to Barbados I've been trying to open an account. Tried the online system...my account was locked. Called customer service THREE TIMES..each time they said they would have someone from my branch call me to make an appointment....Did I get a call? ha! certainly not. Finally, in my last fume of hope, I went to their Sheraton branch. A long line outside (Friday 1st Dec) and even more people inside. Guess what? Only 1 teller. That's right...O-N-E. I went up to the friendly guard and asked her if I could speak to a CSR. I was told there was only one and she hadn't had lunch yet (fair enough)...not just that but account opening closes at 2.... after spending 10 minutes in line it was a little past two. How are customers supposed to know this?! I'm totally done now. I'll bank with a bank who wants my patronage.
