Barbados's main financial institution...this bank is responsible for the Island's national and foreign financial transactions...including doing business globally. Though secured with its many security personnel on a daily...its outdoor park with seating is an open and comfortable space for the ordinary citizen to relax under big shaded trees. Fitted with an art gallery and auditorium for special events, there's ample parking...both an open and underground covered lot.

Typical Barbados service. Sometimes you get help, sometime not. It's a 50/50 gamble when trying to reach most government or official businesses in Barbados. Sent them a concern re a local bank issue about a month ago and never go a response. One was via email from their website and the other I decided to try via their online form.... nothing! Yet they could send my business emails every few months for invitations to events they're having but can't reply to the general public.

The Central Bank of Barbados located in the capital city of Bridgetown is the currency issuing Authority and Financial policy determining agency. One of the tallest if not the tallest buildings in Barbados makes for an imposing and visible structure. The Architecture and Ambiance of the Central Bank of Barbados is quite striking and outstanding, the imposing structure can be seen from great distances in and around Bridgetown. The building and grounds are quite remarkable and the shear scale of the structure was quite impressive to me, I particularly enjoyed the well manicured lawn and garden. The park atmosphere of the grounds within close proximity to the Constitution River and many places in town. An integral part of the Landscape and the city skyline adding a modern metropolitan feel to the whole landscape.

Frustrating yesterday Central Banking system wasn't working so the banking staff were unable to exchange foreign monies. As no rate could be given.
