Absolutely gorgeous, one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to, and not busy at all — we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Mini buses that go east bound can get you to a short walk away from the beach access. Very windy so be careful of your hat, etc., and it’s not a safe place to swim. Definitely worth the trip out there.

Place is beautiful for a picknick but not for swimming. The waves are very strong and actually very scary when it’s raining. This is more at the Atlantic side so u can expect different kind of animals in the water.

Perhaps the most secluded beach in Barbados. It has most of the qualities of a great beach, though unfortunately there was some seaweed at my time of visit. Lots of privacy available and to be expected as it is quite a drive to get here from the resorts and the hotel areas. The promenade leading from the tiny parking area to the beach is itself quite a geological marvel with fossil-pressed rocks and stones bounding the pathway The seaweed will be too much for many people, for those who can ignore it, this is a prime spot to take a dip and take in the sun Be warned, there are no lifeguards around!!!!!

If you're able to ignore the sargassum, this is one of the most picturesque beaches I've ever been to. From certain angles it looks exactly like what a Caribbean beach would look like in a movie.

Hope you like seaweed...In all honesty, I was a bit disappointed when I pulled up to Bottom Bay Beach. Immediately upon entry there were a few guys running "bars" at the top of the beach. They seemed friendly enough but I couldn't even get out of the car without them standing there ready to bombard me with their business. The beach itself is down some stairs, and frankly there weren't many people but found myself leaving after a few minutes. The water was rough and caked in seaweed. There was mounds of seaweed on the beach and really everything just made for an unpleasant experience. We were here in early March, I thought that was outside of "seaweed season" but I guess the laws of nature don't apply here.
