Stayed there in April 2025. Great location with shops within walking distance and a room overlooking the pool and beach. Cooker, kettle, fridge, microwave and toaster in the room. I was surprised that there was no complimentary tea or coffee in the room as with other hotels in Barbados. You have to buy/bring your own. No welcome drink on arrival at reception or in the room. WiFi was poor and had to keep logging on a few times a day. Interior room decor definitely needs updating; old furniture, cracks in floor tiles, bathroom sink etc.
I was on the third floor but the lift didn't work. Apparently it hadn't been working for over a month.
No menus in room for room service. Ordered an omelette but it was quite small and basic in comparison to other hotels I have stayed at in Barbados. The evening meal was good though.
The security deposit is 350 BDS.

Our recent stay at Blue Orchids Beach Hotel was an absolute delight. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring.
The private balcony provided a serene space to enjoy the beautiful ocean vistas. We also appreciated the convenience of having a variety of amenities nearby, including shops and restaurants.
Overall, our experience at Blue Orchids Beach Hotel was fantastic. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation.

The worse hotel we have have ever been too. The elevator didn’t work so we had to drag our suitcases up four flights of stairs. The ground floor room offered instead did not have much of a view and felt tucked in a corner but we were told it’s an “upgrade” to the higher floor. The front desk person was beyond rude and unwelcoming. She did not walk us to any of the rooms we were offered for checking in. Instead passed the keys and pointed the way which was unfamiliar to us and not accessibility friendly. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction, she thought it best to argue with us. I believed her name was Amanda. No apologies were given. The bed is not well set up. It has the flattest pillows and “king” bed of two twin bed pushed together. The bathroom toilet is super noisy after being flushed. The kitchenette is poorly done as well with shabby looking appliances. The wifi is terrible as well. And were not even given a note of welcome wifi info etc. The overall infrastructure is deteriorating. We give this 0/5 stars. Would not recommend. The worst customer service and overall experience ever. Not worth the listed price. Do not book here.

A great pace by the ocean to relax and enjoy the warm tropical breezes ,the staff is extremely friendly and always happy to help us. The restaurant in their partner hotel Coral Mist has a new owners Darrin & Tabby make it the best place to eat without being fancy but having mouth watering presentation of every plate .We had a remarkable meals there without breaking the bank.

Superior one bedroom room is spacious with a kitchenette & decent fridge freezer, but the electric oven hob was useless, couldn't even boil an egg. The overall hotel is quirky & dated, which is what to expect in most hotels in Barbados. The water was off 1 day for a few hours with no warning, which was annoying. The location is great on the beach, and the hotel provides free sunbeds & brollies whch is a nice perk. Both pools were nice. Staff were friendly. Overall a very nice hotel, could do with a bar open there at night, as after 9pm ish you can't get any drink. The courtesy room however was an absolute disgrace, it was the office with a door to a shower room which had dirty towels on the floor, and on the toilet seat & empty shower /shampoo bottles were left in the shower tray on the floor. Obviously it hadn't been cleaned from the last people to use it. It was stifling hot in there & the office we used to get dressed in. A member of staff came in as she didn't realise my husband and I were in there, luckily we were dressed. The office had computers switched on & paper documents everywhere, so no data protection there. Come on you can do better than this, and supply a proper courtesy room & protect people's data.
