Had a wonderful stay in Bequia earlier this year. It is a stretch to call this a 5 star hotel (which Google does) but it is a sold 4 star hotel. The rooms have been updated and are clean and bright. The beds are comfortable. The ac works well. The gardens are beautifully maintained. The breakfast is tasty. There are several water toys you can use, such as kayaks and paddle boards. They also recently opened a large gym on the property for hotel guests.
It’s an easy walk along the water from the ferry port, though we didn’t have any rolling bags. Those may make the walk a little trickier but still doable. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Our second year staying at Bequia Plantation and an even better experience than last time. Bequia is the most magical place. And although it’s a small island that’s relatively easy to get around, you couldn’t get a better location than the plantation - on its own beach, five minutes walk down the beach to all the beachfront restaurants and bars but far enough away to feel private and secluded. What’s more it’s a five mins walk round to the stunning Princess Margaret beach and down to Lower Bay.
Location aside, the hotel is set in stunning and grounds, and we loved our room overlooking the sea - beautifully furnished in a cool, simple style that is perfect for the setting. The bar and restaurant on the terrace is great - serving a lovely breakfast, and great cocktails, served to your sunbed when you’re ready for your first pina colada or Hairoun beer. The food in the restaurant is great - especially the pizzas in the wood burning oven. We had a few lunches and dinners in the hotel but the great thing is that you’re so close to all the other restaurants that you have the flexibility to choose where and when you eat every day - I love this compared to a typical big more remote style resort where you feel you have no choice but to dine in every night.
What makes the place truly special is the team - ably led by Chris. The front desk are incredibly helpful, a quick WhatsApp message and they’ll organise everything from taxi pick ups to restaurant bookings, you name it. Shout out to Ash at the spa for her wonderful massages. And last but definitely not least, the lovely team at the restaurant and bar - the friendliest, kindest and most fun bunch of people, always so helpful, polite and pleased to see you. Thank you to all the team for another amazing stay and can’t wait to see you again next year!

Unfortunately I only booked one night on Bequia. Before I arrived at the hotel they messaged me to let me know that they had upgraded me to an ocean view bungalow which was awesome. It is just a few minutes cab and a 15 -20 minute walk from the ferry. I wanted to see a little bit of the island so I walked. I would not advise that because some of the road there is very narrow so pedestrian and car traffic is not a great idea. When I arrived at the hotel the staff was lovely and greeted me with a cold drink and a cold towel which I definitely needed after the walk :). The grounds are lovely and my bungalow was super spacious and was equipped with a small kitchenette area. There was a wrap around porch which was perfect for enjoying the sunset. The hotel is an easy walk to Princess Margaret Beach and several restaurants. The next day I had breakfast in their restaurant and again the staff was lovely and helpful. It was a perfect overnight trip and when I was ready to leave the receptionist at the front desk told me about a faster ferry and my amazing taxi driver drove me ONTO the ferry! I'll be back!

Great hotel. The room was spacious, clean and fully equipped. We ate lunch and dinner and we were happy with the price and menu. My favorite bit staying here was the friendliness of all the staff and the sunbeds on the beach that were comfortable and always available. Lovely hotel

We spent four nights at Bequia Plantation Hotel, and while our stay began with a few bumps, we ultimately left feeling deeply relaxed and convinced this is a truly special place.
First and foremost, the property itself deserves major recognition. This is an absolute AAA location. Set right in Bequia, it is walkable to town, an easy and fun cab ride to everything else, and perfectly positioned near Admiralty Bay and local restaurants. The setting is tranquil and beautiful. You have sand literally behind the pool, lush tropical landscaping, and charming cottage style plantation rooms that surround you in a historic, colonial atmosphere. The entire property feels thoughtfully maintained and quietly elegant, with all the modern amenities you would want, while still preserving a beautifully authentic tropical character.
Once we settled in, the service really came together and reinforced how much this place cares about the guest experience. We arrived pretty swamped and travel weary, and the management team listened, responded, and handled things with professionalism and genuine care. Chris and Janelle in particular deserve recognition for turning an imperfect start into a stay that felt personal and restorative.
The restaurant team was excellent. Food was consistently very good, and it was delivered with warmth and smiles even when they were clearly busy. The bar staff were always speedy and friendly, which added to the relaxed, vacation feel of the property.
Housekeeping was impeccable throughout our stay. The room was made up perfectly every day, always on time, always discreet, with lovely turndown service each evening. It added a real sense of calm and understated luxury.
By the end of our stay, we felt completely at ease. This is a hotel with a rare combination of location, character, and people who genuinely want guests to leave happy. We would absolutely recommend Bequia Plantation Hotel and hope this review helps bring them the attention and business they deserve.
