I am extremely disappointed with the appalling level of service at BCIC today. After waiting over two hours (from 12:10 PM to 2:15 PM)—while forced to listen to staff engage in loud, unprofessional, non-work-related conversations—I was called by Ms. D....... to renew my policy.
She claimed I had an outstanding balance, despite my presenting an online portal receipt proving payment. She then admitted a previous payment hadn't been properly applied to my account on their end, but insisted a balance remained. When I respectfully asked for an explanation, her math didn't add up. Instead of getting a supervisor, she became visibly upset and began answering business and personal mobile calls right in front of me to discuss her lunch plans and personal finances. This is a massive insult, considering I’ve previously called BCIC up to 31 times in a single day without a single answer, yet staff freely use the lines to avoid doing their jobs.
To make matters worse, while I stepped out to my car for a moment, she walked out for her lunch break without handing my file over to a colleague. I was told I had to check in and restart the entire two-hour waiting process from scratch.
There appeared to be absolutely no supervisor on the floor to monitor staff conduct. A customer's time and patronage should be respected regardless of their attire or perceived status. Avoid this branch if you expect basic professionalism.

BCIC lack basic customer service principles such as clear and timely communication, and based on my experience, I would not recommend BCIC.

Absolute waste of time insurance company 🤬. This is why so many people do not bother getting insured on the Island. It’s a waste of time. You don’t even respond to insurance claims. Government needs to asses you all. You should not be in business.

This establishment is truly the worst in the business on island. Arguably, the region. 2 years running they raised my premium by 30% with no accidents, I enquired why, no real response. I then got a quote from their site that came back $600 dollars less than their renewal notice. Noone can tell me why that is. The only glimmer of hope was Keiann Carrington, she tried to be proactive and save a customer, but that stellar customer service was met with stonewalling by management! I hope she finds a team more suitable for her service excellence!
