In terms of the BWA offices: Lovely. Air conditioned. Full of people who look very well paid and very pleased about it. Customer management: ridiculous. I have never seen such a silly system. Went in person after my father passed away to change the name on the bill. Didn't work. I literally can't be bothered. If their computer system can't interface with their staff, what can I do?
But this is my main issue. How does this company have SO MANY water outages and not have sny of the information on the website? At least inform people as to what is happening. What exactly is that big salary paying these folk for? Hours with no water, and the time I was told it would be back om when I called? Long gone.

BWA is a "natural monopoly".
They don't know what they are doing!
We have been without water for 48 hours now. Their website claims "they are investigating the reason for the outage.
If the "Fair Trading Commission" had any backbone, this would have been solved long ago.

I recently went to the Barbados Water Authority regarding an application for a new connection. The team in the customer service centre both on the phone and in person were very accommodating with providing the information I would need for the application as well as assisting me with same. I hope that this continues in the months and years to come.

On Friday 25th April 2025, I went to the office of the BWA to have processed the application of getting my Uncle's water disconnected after his recent passing. There, I met an extremely polite and helpful young lady called Bonnie Chase who completed the application for me.
Coming from a 27 years of service in a customers service background, I am very rigid in the professional kind of help given to me by others and I do voice my pleasures or displeasures, with the kind I receive each time I interact with people each day.
Ms Chases customer skills were professional and exemplary as she explained throughout the process, what was going to happen. Ms Chase, treated me with respect and as a still valued customer from start to finish of the process.
To the BWA, Ms Chase is indeed an asset to your company and a model customer service representative. It's amazing how much others could learn from her. Thanking you once again!
