After a long day of travel stress and mishaps, Baobob Kitchen was exactly what we needed to end the day with smiles and full bellies. Kids meals were served first, followed by a delectable three course meal for adults. From contract/menu design to cleanup, Chef Damian was easy to work with, a responsive communicator, and brought a calm energy to the dining atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the Caribbean version of a Thanksgiving meal together with Chef Damian Reid. We would 100% recommend to friends visiting Barbados who want to enjoy a special culinary experience.

I had the pleasure of enjoying Chef Damian’s delicious creations at a privately catered event. The food was amazing and Chef Damian was attentive and accommodating. I’ll be recommending him to everyone!

Chef Damian catered my friend’s bachelorette weekend and it was always so delicious! He was consistently punctual, communicative, and professional. He made a delicious welcome dinner for us and two delicious brunches. I don’t have pictures because we pounced on the food once it was plated - it looked & smelled so good we couldn’t wait! I highly recommend Chef Damian’s services. 10/10 & no notes 🤩

What can I say about Baobab Kitchen. The service, quality, and attention to detail provided by Damian was exceptional. My family and friends were so pleased with the private in-home dining experience we received. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing personal chef services.

If you have read a few of my reviews by now you know that, I’ve eaten out a lot over the years, (but I’m also quite happy to stay at home, cook for myself and enjoy my food like if I was eating at a high end restaurant!) Yet, this review I’m about to write blew my mind away! One Valentine’s Day I had the pleasure of the intimate experience of dining with a small group of people. The chef Damian Reid created an experience that embodied his time and life in Barbados and interpreted what that meant to him into food! This was an artist at work. Each course was accompanied with an explanation of not only what the course meant to him but a physical display that reflected it! As I listen intently to his passion as he described each dish, it came to life before my very eyes! I’ve never looked at food that way before, it was love on a plate. The theme for his event was from Batts Rock to Bathsheba and that was indeed the experience I had! Now if this wasn’t enough, Damien is also a spoken word artist and he graced us with a performance on the fly! Tell me a chef you know that can not only wow you with his food, the ambience, the presentation, be so intimate to explain each dish before serving you and then perform for you! When Damien has his next event if you can get your hands on a ticket, I say goooo! You’ll leave with a memory that will stay with you for a long time to come!
