We got there for about 11AM on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy, we made it in time to see the flamingo show, which was really cool and fun to see. We also did the turtle feeding , if you have kids, it’s a great experience for them, our toddler loved it. The flamingos, peacocks and ducks wander freely around the park, there is also parrots that greet you at the front entrance, but unfortunately their wings are clipped, which is why they are not caged. Lots of things to see, and very friendly staff.

I recently visited Ardastra Gardens and had such a wonderful experience. The entire sanctuary is beautifully maintained, and it’s clear that the animals are well cared for and respected. You can truly feel the passion and dedication behind the work they are doing.
One of the highlights was seeing the famous flamingos up close—it’s a unique and memorable experience you don’t get just anywhere. Beyond that, the variety of animals and thoughtfully designed habitats make it both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
What stood out most was the sense of purpose behind the gardens. It’s not just a place to visit, but a place that reflects the importance of conservation and caring for wildlife. Experiences like this remind you how important it is for us to support organizations that protect and nurture animals.
Our group had an amazing time, and I would highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area. It’s a meaningful, enjoyable, and worthwhile experience.

This was a pleasant experience. Grounds are well maintained. There as little rain so we had the whole place to ourselves. Love the birds. Must visit if you love macaw!

Great interaction with various animals. Definitely time your visit with the flamingo show (3 times a day), as they also bring out a few creatures you can interact with. My boys had a great time reading about the different birds, animals and reptiles.

Visited Ardastra Gardens for two adults the ticket price was $70, which felt a bit high, especially since locals pay less. On my way out, I noticed some locals were unhappy with the price and chose not to enter.
That said, if you’re visiting with kids, this spot is perfect for a short, fun outing an hour or so is plenty. The flamingo show was fantastic, and getting pictures with the flamingos, a turtle, and a snake was truly unforgettable. They have other animals as well, but be careful of the parrot it might bite!
Overall, for adults without kids, between the entrance fee and taxi costs, I felt it wasn’t completely worth it. But if you love animals and are visiting with children, it’s a fun experience to enjoy for an hour or two.
