What an interesting and informative part of Barbados 🇧🇧 history! How often does one get the chance to see a 1,000 year old tree in such a convenient location??!! Thank goodness a knowledge local friend pointed out the tree. I would have missed seeing the tree for a second time when visiting Queens Park! Be great if there was a timeline display showing world/Barbados history over the tree's journey from Africa/lifespan. Imagine what has transpired over the last 1,000+ years!

Nice to learn that this is the oldest and larger tree on the island... from Guinea, Africa. Huge trunk but not too overwhelming. Nice to see if in the area.

A good stop if you're touring the city. The tree is the oldest on the island and definitely the biggest at over 25m girth. Not crowded at all at this park, either.

In an open park, no sign to spot it, but when you arrive you will recognize it, it's gigantic! No tickets, free visit

If you’re into cool trees, this is a must-visit in Barbados. It’s a fine-enough walk from the port if you’re into walking or an even shorter stroll from the old town area if you’re there. Only one other couple stopped by the whole morning and it was pleasantly shaded with a breeze.
