Visited here today with a plan to hire a landscape gardener and purchase plants for my soon to be new garden. Met by a lovely woman working there who asked to show me around. The flowers were gorgeous and she was also very knowledgeable. However when she showed me the animal enclosures I was appalled and upset by what I saw.
2 giant iguanas sitting on plywood in a small cage with a ledge. No water no greenery just an awful 'home' nothing like their natural habitat. Nowhere for them to roam, bathe hide or sleep. Just awful.
Some of the larger birds were kept in small wire cages , far too small for the size of the bird.
Whilst all creatures looked fed there were cages with no fresh water. Also a lack of places for birds to roost or nest. Cages were dirty and dry with no natural greenery.
Whilst 1 peacock was allowed to roam , 2 others were caged.
I was so upset to see this in such a beautiful large space. Why are they being kept in such poor conditions when their areas could be so much bigger and far more habitable and interesting.
As a result of my visit I wont be hiring or buying from your company for which I am sorry.
Please consider my comments and perhaps you will try and ensure your animals live a happier existence in a larger environment.
