The University is open and there are temperature checks and sanitizing stations all over campus. Most persons wear their masks throughout the campus, even when they're just walking around. It's not usually very crowded and the shuttle service is very efficient.

With beautiful, well-kept grounds, it is a university to rival universities catering to students from all over the world. (And it's a ten minute walk from a beach).

Environment is usually clean, spacious and there are a lot of rooms which can be entered without needing identification. There are a lot of activities, groups, and sports to take part of. Events are usually organized by students, lectures and other staff members for the personal and professional development of students. There are plenty of places to choose from when looking for something to eat, including vending machines. Some are not as obvious as others. Printers are usually not working and sometimes without paper. Most lecturers are passionate about what they know and are helpful when they assist you, but not to the point of doing the work for you. Some lecturers are difficult to understand with some of them appearing not to be able to lecture. Some of these types are able to explain concepts one on one, and are helpful in other aspects. Lecturers are usually encouraging students to keep up with their studies, and informing students of events happening. Some of the other employees have an attitudinal problem whereby they ignore you or are not as attentive as they should be, even with some lectures. This is a frequent occurrence at the administration offices and some of the other offices. Phone calls made to the main administration office are usually unanswered, but they are helpful when the calls are answered.

The visit to University of the West Indies - Cave Hill Campus was for me a rewarding and fulfilling experience. I was able to revisit my favorite spots on campus from my student days and to observe the new changes for myself. I had mainly great times on campus and friendships lasting many decades. The additions such as the Confusius Studies section and others were quite new to me. The peaceful University Gardens with it's great Coastline and City Views was upgraded to include Park benches and tables plus Gazebos. Many other upgraded were noticed elsewhere as well, additions were also evident. I seked and received permission to explore and photograph the campus plus a good drink of cold water plus a travelling bottle of the liquid of life. The staff were quite helpful and professional. All I. All this is a great institution, perhaps I am a little biased towards my almamarta.
