Very comfortable I had a wonderful and very relaxing stay at The Crane. The location is stunning and a bit more secluded, which we loved. The pools are fantastic, and the beach is magnificent. The rooms are spacious and luxurious well-appointed. The only minor downside is that because it's more remote, you'll rely on the resort's restaurants or need a taxi/car to explore other dining options. Overall, a beautiful property perfect for a tranquil getaway.resort. Spacious

The resort is absolutely amazing. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. We were always greeted with a good morning/good evening and a smiling face. The reason I didn’t put 5 stars for location is the resort is on the south eastern coast and most of the action is on the south western/western coasts. However, they have a taxi service that can take you anywhere you want to go on the island. The restaurants on site are amazing as well as some very close by. Don't forget to reserve a table though. I highly recommend everyone to stay at this resort and I do plan on coming back.

Lovely size rooms, but only one mirror (over the bathroom sink and too far away to see anything properly). The bed was very high and needed a step to get up to it.
Although there were plenty of eating and drinking places on site, there was only one other restaurant nearby.

The room was amazing and everyone here has been very sweet! The only thing that we were shocked by was that everything was closed on Sundays. Check in took a while, and make sure that you call the crane before flying so that they pick you up at the airport. The taxis can get a little expensive. The food here is amazing, we got a smoothie every morning from the village cafe, our favorite restaurant on property was the Zen. The service was great, they will help schedule taxis for you round trip at a lower cost than getting a taxi yourself. Someone came in every single day to change out towels, do dishes, and make our bed. The only downside to this was location. It is very far away from everything, so anytime we wanted to go somewhere it was a 40+ minute drive. The beach had moss everywhere from the storms, so the crane paid for a shuttle every day while we were here to go to a VERY nice beach with umbrellas and chairs. They also had food and a bar. Overall was absolutely wonderful and will be back for sure.

A mix review to be honest.
Firstly, what's good?
The whole resort is very pleasant, our apartment was spacious and well designed, in fact is was very generous. We had a two bedroom apartment with pool, so there was plenty of space.
The staff are very polite, with a "good morning" from most.
The various pools and surrounding areas are very nice, although do watch out, as the tiles can be very slippery. They can be busy and there is quite a bit of sunbed blocking going on.
The concierge is outstanding, and one of the most helpful I have encountered.
What's not so good?
Some of the apartment needs attention. The air conditioning leaked onto the bed one night, until we pulled the bed out. It was then just wet on the floor.
The thermostat on the aircon also had a mind of its own, with 26 being very, very cold, and 27 being quite hot.
Some of the plug sockets were not working. The maid service noted it, but nobody came to fix them.
The restaurants are reasonable, but overpriced, as the food is just okay, not great or outstanding.
One to avoid is the Italian. It was air conditioned so much that we were shivering, and told that it couldn't be adjusted. Then an hour wait for the food, which when it did arrive was cold. We didn't return it as there was a danger of never seeing it again.
Zen is a good standard asian cuisine.
The Tuesday evening beach buffet was fun, with entertainment and music. There was quite often a lack of plates and cutlery, and if you leave dining too late the sides (pasta, coleslaw, etc) is never replenished, so it can appear that a plague of locusts has been through.
The resort is located on a part of the island where nothing is really happening. So a hire car is a must unless you want to pay huge amounts for taxis. Good access to the Bushy Park race track, if that's your thing, otherwise it's usually a drive west.
Update.
Turns out the hour wait for food at the Italian was not the winner. That was for pizza at the 1887 bar which took nearly one and a half hours, despite chasing. Nobody seemed to care.
There is quite a bit of construction going on, with the expected noise, and one of the tennis courts was out of action to be refurbished.
On the whole, would we return? Probably not, as there are better located and interesting places to stay.
We have enjoyed our stay in Barbados though. We will be coming back.
