A hidden gem in Barbados. In two years of visiting we had our best Barbados meal at Pavao. Food was HOT and all 6 of us had GOOD food. Service time was perfect and Simone was helpful and professional. The ambiance is “colonial meets modern canopy”, accent lighting along the perimeter is subdued and the music was modern, chill and toned down, ( we could have conversations). Lovely cool breeze all through dinner makes this outdoor restaurant a great dinner spot in Barbados. A shout out to Dwayne for a sharp wine service. Well done Pavao!

What was meant to be a birthday celebration turned into one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I’ve had. Our reservation was for 1:30 PM. Two members of our party arrived slightly early and were not greeted or acknowledged. They went to the bar to wait and ordered drinks. When one of them politely asked the bartender for the Wi-Fi password, he snapped that it was “unavailable,” offering no explanation or courtesy. I arrived around 1:40 PM and once again received no greeting. I walked straight into the restaurant to find my friends already visibly frustrated, despite having been there only about 20 minutes. The first waitress we encountered (the floor manager) approached us without greeting, immediately questioned where the rest of our party was, and told us to “hurry up” while tapping her watch. This was grossly unprofessional, especially since the majority of the party was already present and we were waiting on two people. We chose Sweetfield Manor specifically because the birthday guest eats free, yet there was no acknowledgment of the occasion or any attempt at hospitality. When one of my friends finally addressed the poor attitudes and explained we were celebrating a birthday, the energy only worsened. A second waitress then came to take our order and stood over the birthday guest, who was clearly on her phone coordinating with the remaining guests. She abruptly demanded to know if we were ready to order. When we asked her to start with those of us present, she rolled her eyes, dismissed us with her hand, snapped her notepad shut, and walked away to serve another table that had just arrived. Throughout this interaction, her unprofessional mannerisms only added to the discomfort. When we asked for our deposit to be refunded, the situation escalated. We were first dealing with the floor manager, and this was then escalated to the operations manager, who showed no care, compassion, or accountability for how her staff had treated us. There was no apology, no effort to de-escalate, and no concern that a birthday celebration had been completely ruined. We left. No one should be expected to dine after being treated that way. The refusal to refund the deposit only added insult to injury. The birthday guest left visibly upset and on the verge of tears. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was rushed, dismissive, and hostile. Sweetfield Manor is known for its beautiful property and peacocks — unfortunately, they offered more warmth and hospitality than the staff. If you’re considering Sweetfield Manor, especially for a special occasion, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Delicious. I'm French, I love good food, and I found there an exceptional fusion food. Had a perfect soup, texture, seasoning and a few full vegetables which absorb the soup and are delicious. After that, an incredible Italian risotto perfectly cooked, with a rack of lamb added with marocain spices. So surprised. Really amazing. The place is an old manor with lot of charm. The service is good and efficient. I really recommend

What a treat this restaurant turned out to be. Thank you Carissia from Hilton for the recommendation for New Years lunch. Bit tucked away so don’t be surprised overshooting the location. It’s a historical masterpiece which you must explore if you have the chance with Nicole the restaurant manager while waiting for your food and if a room Is empty they will show you one . Service is exquisite and personalized. From Mr Aikens security who allowed us to use his shaded parking spot and taking pictures of us with the famed peacocks roaming the grounds to showing us the way. Handoff to hostess Stephanie who took care of us to server Stephanie who was attentive to ashley at the bar who serves wonderful variations of cocktails. We ordered the fish sandwiches which were awesome served with fries and we added coconut crusted plantains. For drinks the ginger manor smash and dessert the manor pillow. Hotel Manager Anne came out to meet us and say goodbye . Nice touch An awesome unique experience and I highly highly recommend for a great experience
