Not usually one to leave reviews, but even three months after the event, I’m still disappointed by what we experienced.
The service and overall delivery were an absolute disappointment, especially regarding the décor — which was my wife’s main priority for our wedding.
We had numerous calls discussing decorations in detail: layout, silverware, flower types, vases, table covers, and overall styling. Many times we asked for pictures to see what was available or to determine whether we needed to source certain items ourselves. Unfortunately, those requests were consistently ignored, often with the explanation that Pangroove was at an event or on a site visit.
The day before the wedding, my wife, our wedding planners, and I visited the venue to review the décor and final setup in person. To our surprise, the space was completely bare, and we waited over two hours before meeting with Pangroove. This was particularly surprising given that we were frequently told they were always on-site at events or visits.
When Pangroove arrived, we discussed details and quickly realised that if we hadn’t asked specific questions, we would not have known that important decisions had been made without our knowledge. One major issue was the removal of a table from the layout, which could have resulted in guests arriving without seating.
There were several other discrepancies: table décor not matching what was agreed, items listed and paid for on the invoice (including a double chandelier over the head table) missing, and other details that unfortunately slip the mind now due to time.
After months of planning, weekend calls, meetings, and countless messages, what we received was far below the standard we were promised.
Following the event, we realised a few of our personal items were missing and enquired about them. Initially, we were told they hadn’t been seen. A few days later, when we specifically mentioned certain décor items we had sourced ourselves, they suddenly “appeared.” This raises concerns about what other items may not have been returned simply because we didn’t specifically ask for them.
Overall, this was a hugely disappointing experience. Pangroove talked confidently throughout the planning process but did not deliver on the day. Full payment was required before the event, leaving us with no opportunity to rectify issues once problems became apparent.
To date, we have not received an apology for what was delivered. Whether that is because we do not live in Barbados or because they believe their service was acceptable, I cannot say — but from our perspective, it absolutely was not.
