We stayed there last January and plan to return this March. Odile is an excellent hostess who took care of our every need. The food and drinks were amazing and plentiful. We do not speak much French and they were very patient with us. The island is so beautiful and tranquil. We used Les Ballades du Delphis to go there. I highly recommend them as well. It is rustic and beautiful. The perfect getaway.

Arrogant owner and staff. The guy supervises the ponton all the time and treats everyone who approaches as thieves. Man, this is not your private island, can’t even approach to read the plaque about the animals of the island. The beach itself is nothing special. Looks like a typical rip-off.

A prime location for a dream vacation! We spent one night in the beautiful house on Îlet Oscar and wished we'd stayed a second! A very punctual and friendly fisherman took us there from the port of Le François in 10 minutes for €50 round trip (we got his contact information from the owner). We received a very warm welcome from the caretaker, Yves, and his trainee. They sleep on-site but are very discreet. Another couple was staying in one of the rooms, but the spaces are large enough that their presence didn't bother us. We spent a pleasant evening with them around the barbecue. The house has incredible charm, swimming around the dock is lovely, and we felt like we were experiencing a timeless getaway in a very relaxing setting. It's worth noting that you need to bring your own drinking water and food, but this wasn't a problem for us. A large, well-equipped communal kitchen is available for guests. The most annoying thing is the noise of the excursion boats coming and going towards Josephine's Bath (accessible to guests from the islet with a few strokes of the paddle using the kayaks provided), but you just have to wait until the tourists leave at the end of the day or take advantage of it early in the morning to enjoy the place in complete serenity. The same goes for the island's only small sandy beach, overrun with tourists during the day but which becomes a secluded spot outside of those hours. It's accessible from the house via a small path through the forest, and we don't hear the music from the house. In any case, we found it didn't add much and that it was more pleasant to enjoy the dock for swimming and sunbathing. We hesitated to rent this house because the information online was unclear or outdated, but the conversations I had afterward with the owner clarified things and reassured us. You can rent with your eyes closed if the principle suits you!

Thank you to Agathe for allowing us to stay on this incredible islet. The building is magnificent, the garden beautifully landscaped, and the setting idyllic. And thank you to Yves for his warm welcome. A little paradise to experience and preserve.
