Horrible experience. The staff are clearly in need of proper training, as there was a noticeable lack of professionalism and basic customer service. My family and I visited around lunchtime on February 4, 2026. We ordered a meal that included mashed potatoes and another that came with a 32 oz reusable cup. We waited over 20 minutes for our food, only to be told at pickup that the reusable cups were out of stock.
When we checked our order, no utensils were provided for the mashed potatoes. Upon asking for a fork, we were told they had run out, and the employee walked away without offering an apology or alternative. We were then informed that they had run out of all utensils entirely. This should have been communicated before ordering, as we would not have chosen mashed potatoes without a way to eat them or a meal that advertised a 32oz reusable cup.
Another employee mentioned that forks were “coming,” but despite waiting further, none ever arrived. Overall, the service was disorganized, dismissive, and unacceptable.

I've been to this location multiple times and as I've mentioned in other branch reviews...it's basically the same attitude with staff in need of training across the board to all KFC Barbados's locations.
This is an on-going issue for years and complaints from the general public, they do have a good product, but staff morale needs to change.
I like this branch in the North in particular, it's usually a quiet one and the pace of service a little better than some of the others...near to a town centre with various stores, banks, seaside cafe's, bars/restaurants and a beach with lovely views of sunsets.
Update: Since the last review this location has since been moved and updated with a fresh new outpost, close to the main highway of Speightstown with even better access to everything including a petrol station and public transport, a drive thru is now featured along with an outdoor patio space...the interior felt clean and comfortable...a nice step up from previous.

My friend and I went there last night and she has salmonella poisoning. We should’ve known better, they were teenager staff and taking forever. They had no straws and the macaroni salad smelt off but my friend ate it and got sick, thankfully I only had the chicken sandwich which was extremely small. The fries were refried and smelt old but we will be contracting the health inspection today

I made my order at 16:33hrs to be delivered in checker Hall st lucy I received the order at 18:44 hrs I called speightown location and was transferred 4 times before I called and spoke to the manager on duty who had an attitude when I tried to tell her what was going on at no point did anyone call me as to what was going on with my delivery when the delivery came and I asked about why it took 2 hrs the gentleman started to laugh this is really disrespectful service on received the order the chips were cold and rubbery this whole experience was very disappointing

Small bucket of KFC chicken bought in Speightstown as nothing much open on Sunday. Really awful. Dry & over cooked coating & dark dodgy looking chicken threw most away. Never again.
