Five Haitian Stars. Sit on the veranda overlooking the Rue De Commerce while sipping their iconic Rum Sour. With any luck as darkness creeps over the street a Ra Ra will snake by. Have Michel the omnipresent and everready unofficial guide get you some cigars. Breath in, breath out, pat yourself on the back, you are doing pretty darn well considering you are in Haiti. This is not the Marriott in Petionville because that is not Haiti. Here the ice is chiseled from a block, the sun drys your clothes and you are best asking what they are serving rather than looking at the menu, the artwork is ubiquitous and somehow bespoke. This is luxury from a bygone era, available today for only a few gourdes. PS please do not think you can convert a Haitian star on this review to an American star, you are in Haiti fool

Did not sleep there, but very great kitchen and marvelous old building with a romantic garden to sit. Next time i stay in jacmel i want to take a room there

Had dinner there on a Saturday night during Jacmel's Easter celebrations. Food was good, they carry Prestige in abundance, staff were friendly. Very interesting colonial building, now slightly overgrown with sprawling vines and flowers, and abundantly decorated with all sorts of local artwork. And to our surprise it was Spanish dance night! Not sure if that is a regular occurrence there at Florita; but given the number of people in attendance, I imagine it is. One couple in particular were truly talented dancers (I was told they are quite well-known in Haiti). That free and joyful atmosphere was one of the most memorable experiences I've had dining out. If you're in Jacmel, don't miss out on this place.

This is a classic spot in a beautiful, quaint, old-world city. Located close to the beach and town everything is in walking distance. The rooms are classic and comfortable. The main bar/lobby area is comfortable and beautiful with amazing Haitian art all around, comfortable seating tables, and a great bar. Be sure to try the rum sours or some wine and say hello to Joe!

Extremely walkable location. Voodoo artwork adorns the walls. The bar resto on the first floor is dope. Food is average and drinks are delish. It gets pretty hot in rooms even with windows open and fans blasting. The staff is helpful and friendly. No pool. Next door is a great cafe. Around the corner is an amazing art space. Within blocks from the boardwalk and other hotel restaurants.
