My husband and I had a delightful stay here recently. The hotel, including the rooms and pools and all surrounding areas are beautiful and we enjoyed walking throughout the hotel. We even got to see the green monkeys swing from the balcony! The reason why we are giving four stars versus five is because we felt the pools, with the amounts of people in them, should have been better maintained and while we were there, two pools had to be closed. There were a couple other hiccups and we reached out to management and the service manager Tennyson Gill immediately addressed them and was so caring, courteous and kind. We appreciated his prompt attention and resolution. Also Maria, the Service Hub Manager personally visited us and brought us a bottle of wine for our anniversary which was so thoughtful. And last but not least, Gloria the Carriage House Supervisor was attentive and caring as well and took care of us when we went to the breakfast buffet our last morning. We thank these people for contributing to our lovely stay there.

I have to say I’m beyond impressed. We stayed here because we flew in the night before because we were staying at sandals. Beyond affordable, room was clean, staff was welcoming. I felt like I was at a resort resort. Not just a “hotel”. It’s just me and my wife, but we said we would 100% book this resort for when we come back with our kids. I felt the need to give great feedback: Ty

We stayed for the second time at The Crane Resort in Barbados for a staycation and, unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing given the resort’s reputation.
Our room included a BBQ grill, but there was no propane tank — it took over 2.5 hours to get one delivered. The dishwasher came with no pods, and while there was coffee provided, there was no coffee machine to use it. Basic amenities were also missing — no hand soap, only body lotion, and no oven glove in the kitchen.
The room pool had sand in it and there were no staff members around to assist at the pool area.
While the team did offer an on-site credit to compensate for the inconvenience, there was no monetary compensation, which felt insufficient considering the number of issues we encountered.
Overall, the setting is beautiful, but the service and attention to detail fell far short of expectations for a resort of this level.

There’s some beautiful rugged place in the resort, But the facility is not well maintain or to the top quality: the shower knob broke and we had to change to the same room with no upgrade for the issue, when our evening is wasted from moving everything to different room. Whenever we ask for towels or anything else, the front desk needs to call us an hour later to confirm we have received the towels etc. And woke us up in some evening. A real annoyance. A mix feeling about the place. I e view of the morning walk to the beach but the facility and staffs need to be trained. No upgrade for Hilton elite member. They told em this is a grand vacation, not a true Hilton. If I knew I would have book the Hilton Resort on the weather side which’s calmer wave for my kid.

The hotel property could be beautiful if it were maintained more frequently. The rooms are very nice, we stayed in a suite with bedroom, kitchenet, living room, and 2 bathrooms. The grounds are nice, but could be cleaned more often, towels picked up, etc. They have a beautiful private beach that is accessed by an elevator down the side of the cliff. The hotel is about 30-40 minutes from the busy area with bars and restaurants.
Our issue was with the beach and pool. The beach had seaweed the entire time we stayed which is uncontrollable by the hotel. What is controllable is the raking of the seaweed daily on the beach so that guest could at least enjoy the sand. They do have a tractor for this and it wasn't done. Maybe the seaweed piles up so rapidly and they have no place to take it so therefore they don't rake it until they know there's going to be a period without seaweed? I'm hoping that's the reason.
The pools are beautiful, but when we arrived, the main pool complex was extremely cloudy. When we asked what happened, they told us there was an algae problem and that the pool had been closed for 2 days, but was now open. It was so cloudy you could not see your feet. We did not get in as this is dangerous and can lead to rashes or other things. For the next 7 days, the pool remained this cloudy. You can see from my photos during later days of our stay that the pool was in fact very cloudy. We spent a lot of money to not be able to swim at the beach or pool ( you could swim in the small adult pool which was not cloudy).
First, a property of this class should have experienced pool maintenance staff who would be on top of pool maintenance so that there would never be an algae problem, and if there was an algae problem, it may take a day or two to fix, but not 9 with no fix in sight. The front desk did comp us approximately one night stay, but the vacation was a total let down.
