Visited the observatory on friday. Was meaning to visit it from past 4 months but could finally do it. The day was grey and rainy but we made it. We started with a wonderful and informative presentation about gravitational pull and then went out to see constellations and then over the roof for the highlight of our day. The beautiful viewing from the telescope. Loved every minute of it. The volunteers who are running the place are warm, informative, funny, and pasisonate about what they do. I immediately felt comfortable around their energy. They answered all our questions and tried their best to capture omega centauri pictures for us. Absolutely worth it. Will be back again. Keep up the good work team! 👏

My 8 year old son and I had a fantastic evening at the observatory with the volunteers on Friday. I have been to Barbados many times and never discovered this gem! We were there for about 3 hours exploring our galaxy and beyond as part of an interactive learning experience! I would highly recommend a visit! Open Fridays at 7 for a small donation.

I love spending a Friday night learning more about the universe and looking up. The Society has a mix of lectures, game nights and celestial body observations which is great for lovers of space!
I became a member within 2 visits and the members lead with warmth and enthusiasm for all of your space-related questions 🔭
A must see as a local and tourist of the island.

Amazing experience! The guides were very helpful and gave a detailed lecture about exoplanets. I was intrigued to learn so much this night. As a non-profit organization, you can tell the staff really has a passion for the work they're doing! Definitely a great place I'd recommend

This observatory is a gem! Arrived at 7 PM on a Friday. Got to listen to a private lecture from Stephen Watson — a Principal at NASA’s “JPL” — on the current Clipper Mission to Europa. He stayed to answer all of our Q’s. Wow a treat.
Then headed outside where 3 telescopes were set up to view Mars, Jupiter, and Venus. Seeing Jupiter’s moons will forever be an imprint on my mind. The staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Used a laser pointer to explain the night sky
Finally, we climbed to the upstairs observatory where the guide would take viewing requests. For the first time, I got to see the Andromeda Galaxy!
So great for kids. What a fantastic astronomical community
