A nice airport for your arrival and departure point to Barbados. Since it is in a warm climate checking is in an open air area with awnings above it. There is a lounge with basic service and you no bartender though you can make some mixed drinks yourself. Easy to navigate a food court is available.

For being a small airport, it was easy to maneuver through it. It is not crowded and there is no chaos nor long lines. There are many good souvenir shops. All staff are friendly and helpful. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that there is no air conditioning inside the terminal, and then you have to walk a long ways in the hot sun to the airplane to go up a somewhat steep ramp. By the time you get to your seat, you are uncomfortably hot and sweaty. Thank goodness for cold bottled water!

Grantley Adams International Airport is very clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Security was professional and efficient, making the process smooth. Customer service was great as well. However, some things can be quite expensive. Overall, it’s a well-organized airport with a good experience!

We had to laugh at this airport, the burger place only had chicken nuggets, pizza place had no pizza and subway had no bread! Otherwise, clean and clear airport. Security is small but quick, but no signage at all so had to keep going back through and taking things out of my bags. Ladies in duty free were lovely and helpful when buying a gift.

Overall, Grantley Adams International Airport is a fairly comfortable and well-organized airport, with a good range of shops, food options, and basic services for international travelers. The terminal is easy to navigate and generally does a decent job handling passenger flow. One thing to note about the duty-free shopping is that it isn’t a single store with uniform pricing. It’s actually made up of multiple separate shops, and prices for the same products can vary from one to another. If you’re planning to buy alcohol, perfume, or souvenirs, it’s worth taking a few minutes to look around and compare prices before making a purchase. The boarding process, however, could be improved. Boarding was done by section as expected, but passengers were asked to walk outside to the aircraft stairs and then wait in an area also used by service vehicles. Boarding had to be paused several times to let vehicles pass through, leaving passengers standing outside rather than waiting comfortably inside the terminal. This would be especially inconvenient if the weather were poor, and it would make more sense to keep passengers indoors until boarding can proceed smoothly. Despite these points, the airport offers a generally positive experience and serves its role well as Barbados’ main international gateway, with just a few operational details that could make it more passenger-friendly.
