The ultimate picnic spot. Cove Bay is a definite recommendation for an open air gathering of family and friends. We had an enjoyable day in breezy, cool nice open spaces. The clifftops pose a picturesque landscape, and while most of the sea is inaccessible and splashes against the bottom of a high promontory, it still contributes to the general atmosphere of the area.

Beautiful spot on the island if you make the trek north you should visit here. Note: be careful of locals wanting a ride they may try and say they need a ride down then road and then want to show this spot and a few others for money.

Beautiful views! Warning for the visitors: - there's some guys along the way to the GPS route that will tell you to stop (I had one come up, then just down the road another unrelated guy), say stuff about road closures etc and then try to tell you about the scenery, drive down with you as a tour guide or just ask for tips for their 'help'. The GPS route is perfectly fine, just don't drive all the way thru - stop and park at the old tower before the field where the road is still OK even for a Chevy Spark, and have a quick walk to the edge.

It’s a great view but I wouldn’t drive there just to see it, if you are up that way swing in. The roads like all on this island are terrible in this area. And you can easily bottom out a spark so be careful. Drive past the guys trying to guide you, they just want tips. Follow google and you will get there.

Is this a tourist attraction? I don't know how anyone who isn't local would get here but it's definitely a gorgeous view! If you are a tourist with a rental car be apprehensive. There is no pavement and the rocks can damage the car.
