My friends and I came here on a Friday evening for dinner. The Service and atmosphere really gained the stars in this review. The food was just okay. Each dish lacked salt and seasoning. I got the jerk Alfredo but there was no jerk anything about it. The chicken just looked like boiled cut up pieces. Two others got the Seafood Risotto and again lacked salt and seasoning. My husband got the Chicken Ballontine and again was just okay. Also we had the coconut shrimp and a pepperoni pizza and crème brûlée and those were good. There were fire dancers that performed which was fun to see but the music was a little low during the performance. Overall I would like to give this place another try. But our server Zakiya (hopefully spelled right) was amazing!

Spent about nine days at the Bougainvillea Barbados hotel and ate at Calabash for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was impressed with the staff and how we were treated from the first day to last. I want to send a special shout out to Lance for making our meals memorable and just being a wonderful person to me and my family. This is my second time staying at the hotel and experiencing Calabash and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and ate at this restaurant several times. Food is ok, not spectacular but ok. Service is very slow, so be prepared to wait for food and bill afterward. Island time.

This is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely setting. The staff are really lovely and friendly, but sadly service is very poor and very slow. It took over half an hour to have our order taken (after much prompting) and our starters took an hour and ten minutes to arrive. And it was only soup! We also had to collect our wine from the bar ourselves, because it had been sat there for over ten minutes. Several servers had been to the bar but for some strange reason, were taking the most recently poured drinks to tables, and not the ones that had been sat there the longest. Note to management: give your servers ONE SECTION to cover. Not divvy out tables across random parts of the restaurant. We couldn’t see our server or get their attention half the time, and it made for such a messy system that caused delays. Food was poor. Definitely don’t have the Thai curry, it’s a really bad version of it.
