Barbados Blue Water Sports

Visiting mariners have for years commented on the vibrancy of the blue waters surrounding Barbados. The most easterly island in the Caribbean archipelago is unlike many of the other islands in the Caribbean, which are volcanic. Barbados itself is an ancient coral reef with over 85% of its surface comprised of limestone. This phenomenon explains why Barbados’ topography below and above the surface is relatively moderate, and why shallow reefs can be found far offshore. Barbados’ limestone base, white coralline sand, clear oceanic waters, and its location at N13° 10 W59° 32, affect the wavelength of the light reflected. This gives us something unique, a colour, a feeling… Barbados Blue!

I use the online booking portal, which was very easy to use. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Scuba diving was amazing. Got to see a lot of awesome sea life. And even though I didn’t have time to do more diving, I would definitely dive with them again. Highly recommend.

Spent 5 days diving with Barbados Blue. Some of the clearest and most varied dives I've done. The team are very professional with good quality equipment, clear, detailed briefings which they stick to. Team ensure divers of all abilities have a great time. Logan and Nicole definitely stand out as dive-leads.

We had a great time with Barbados Blue! We set up the dive 2 days before hand and the staff couldn't any friendlier and informative! My daughter and I are open water certified but they included a refresher course before the dive to make sure we were all caught up on safety, etc... They have several different packages so just talk with them and they will set you right up!

After talking to other dive companies on the island, I decided to choose Barbados blue for my deep diver & nitrox certifications. Logan & Johnny were the two instructors I had & I can not thank them enough for their patience and professionalism throughout the entire process. The crew made the entire process a lot of fun plus got to explore shipwrecks & coral reefs. Also thank you to the lady working the front desk for holding the boat as I was running late due to traffic on the island. Truly a wonderful experience and very happy with my decision to choose Barbados blue water sports.

We did a one tank dive (with free refresher) and guided snorkel in Carlisle Bay. Excellent set up with good equipment, easy booking and good communication. The dive was exceptional with abundant sea life including turtles, seahorses and loads of fish. Stunning! Shout out to Selina and Becky who were great. Only reason for 4* is that during the briefing on the boat before the dive, some of the team were taking the piss out of the dive master who was doing his best. It was not very professional!
